Palin Attacks Obama Over Betraying America to the Russians

Sarah Palin weighs in on President Barack Obama‘s apparent obsession with bending over forwards for the Russians.

From Business Insider

As Governor I fought the Obama Administration’s plans to cut funds for missile defense in Alaska. So imagine how appalled and surprised I was to read this article by former Clinton CIA Director James Woolsey, appropriately titled “Giving Away the Farm,” concerning President Obama’s latest bizarre actions relating to missile defense.

President Obama wants to give Russia our missile defense secrets because he believes that we can buy their friendship and cooperation with this taxpayer-funded gift. But giving military secrets and technologies to a rival or competitor like Russia is just plain dumb. You can’t buy off Russia. And giving them advanced military technology will not create stability. What happens if Russia gives this technology (or sells it!) to other countries like Iran or China? After all, as Woolsey points out, Russia helped Iran with its missile and nuclear programs. Or what happens if an even more hardline leader comes to power in the Kremlin?

We tried buying off the Kremlin with technologies in the 1970s. That policy was a component of “detente,” and the hope was that if we would share our technologies with them, they would become more peaceful. Things, of course, didn’t work out that way. The Kremlin took western technologies and embarked on a massive military building program. History teaches that peace comes from American military strength. And a central component of that has always been technological superiority. Why would President Obama even dream of giving this away?

Members of Congress saw how foolish President Obama’s gambit was, so they put a section in the defense appropriation bill that specifically forbids the federal government from spending money to share these technologies with the Kremlin. President Obama actually threatened to veto the defense appropriation bill over this section of the law! Fortunately, the House passed the bill with a veto-proof majority, a whopping 322 to 96. Attention now turns to the Senate.

Why is it that President Obama seems to work so hard to give things to our enemies, while at the same time asking friends and allies like Israel to make sacrifices?

During these tough economic times when we are facing massive deficits and a competitive global economy, does President Obama really want to give away technologies that the American taxpayer paid lots of money to develop? Giving away our missile defense secrets won’t make us safer. What it will do is create a situation where we are facing an arms race with ourselves. Russia gets access to our technologies, and we are forced to spend even more money because of the need to stay ahead. Does this make sense to you? Me neither. File this under “WTF.”

The only thing Sarah Palin gets wrong here is her apparent willingness to give Russia’s current leaders the benefit of the doubt.

Putin and Medvedev are every bit as hostile to the United States as were Lenin, Stalin, Kruschev, Breshnev, and I’ll say it…Gorbachev.

Given the chance, Putin and Medvedev would be as happy to bury the US as any of their predecessors.

Don’t let Obama give them that chance.

  1. Obama is not foolish in his own way. He intentionally allied with Russia. They are all in together to create their power to run the world. Saying that he is foolish is giving him the excuse of having a mental disorder! No, he’s is using his intelligence for destroying freedom, for the rise of global order.

  2. So she is an expert on foreign affairs? Come on folks. Why do you bother endorsing her. When she resigned her position as Governor because things got too hot for, I lost interest in her. Does she think that it’s easier being President of a country, rather than being a Governor of a state? If she is nominated, Obama wins.

  3. Once again Sara Palin shows her “qualifications” for public office, she has the courage to stand up for her country.

We have already experienced what compromising with the Russians is worth. They have never lived up to their agreements.

The Russians, like all European nations, paractice “raison d’etat” diplomacy developed by France’s Cardinal Reichelieu. In this style of diplomacy a nation who is temporarily disadvantaged in a “balance of power” structure simply stalls by makeing concessions to those who have the advantage untill it can regain its position of superiority in the balance of power. They have no intention of keeping the promises they made. A classic example is the Hitler-Stalin Pact. Everything is calculated to strengthen their country at the expense of others.

The US and England practice a diplomacy developed by Austria’s Matternich called “Holy Alliance” where Christian countries deal with each other as brothers where the promises made are honored as they would be between individuals. If we abide by the rules and all others do not, we are at a distinct disadvantage. This is a recipe for disaster.

If one is familiar with what the House Committee Investigations of Tax Free Foundations uncovered in 1954, which is these Foundations enjoy exemption from taxes exacted from citizens SO THEY MAY USE THEIR GRANT MAKING POWERS TO “ALTER” (CHANGE) LIFE IN THE US SO IT CAN BE MERGED WITH THE SOVIET UNION, then Obama’s rant of “CHANGE” is understandable. He is a full fleged communist devoted to the destruction of this country. He wants to “fundamentally transform” it into a Marxist police state modeled after the USSR. It’s called the New World Order.

  4. I disagree, Palin is a pawn of FOX news. The reason her bus tour can’t LEGALLY talk to reporters is because she’s still EMPLOYED by FOX news. Oh save us Palin! Save our precious capitalism that has been so good to us! Yeah right! It’s been good to the precious few billionaires the Koch brothers subverting real democracy in Wisconsin. Remove my comments or try to listen to the less fortunate powers of the world.

    1. @Curley, capitalism works better if you have a job. Getting a job requires a positive attitude and an original thought. Class warfare has been overused by the leftie Marxists, and if you just open your eyes you can see where Marxism is getting us.

      1. Being unemployed is more reason to embrace capitalism. Taking shots at the unemployed is a form of class warfare don’t ya think. Curley does suck for other reasons though, like that negative attitude and ignorance of economics and wanting to steal money from someone that earned it. LOL! Koch brothers waaah!

        1. @Lou

Have done the same, became homeless and jobless once, then made a new start one step at a time. I have managed to start and close three small businesses, and now I am a early retired (on my own investments) who can pursure the activities I worked to enjoy at this time.

Entrepenuership, is one of the greatest dreams and freedoms that we have in this land.

    2. The commenter doesn’t quite grasp the concept that the Left has thrived as a parasite on capitalism for 100 years. Once they’ve destroyed the host, what do they believe will take its place? I’d really like to understand this. And please provide some historical evidence to support the argument.

  5. Obama has once again commited treason of the highest order against the US and the US Constitiution; then he needs to be removed from the POTUS office via the Congress – which will in no way do so at this time of course, – as soon as possible.

Continue to call for his impeachment at all levels, all the traitors need to stand trial before the people of America in accord with the law for their crimes.
