The three cadre training institutes of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has played an important role in training cadres, said a senior CPC official.

Zeng Qinghong, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said that the party needs cadre training bases like the three institutes, which are in Shanghai, Jiangxi and Shaanxi, to spread the glorious traditions and styles of the party and ensure that the Party and the nation “never change color” and are always full of vitality.

Zeng, who is also Chinese Vice-President, made the remarks at a recent teaching work conference of the three institutes, located in Pudong District of Shanghai, Jinggangshan of Jiangxi and Yan’an of Shaanxi.

From May 10 to 14, Zeng visited the three institutes and attended the teaching work conference held in Yan’an city, which was presided over by He Guoqiang, head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Establishing the three institutes is an important decision made by the CPC Central Committee with Hu Jintao as the General Secretary after the 16th CPC National Congress in 2002 and an important event in the CPC’s cadre education and training history, Zeng said.

Since their establishments, the three institutes have trained more than 20,000 leading cadres from various fields and proved their unique roles in training the Party’s middle-level and high-level officials, he said.

Zeng said after the 17th CPC National Congress, to be held in the second half of this year, a new massive training program for cadres will be launched.
