The Trump Administration says that Iran has been waging war against America for almost 50 years, and they are correct. That’s a rationale for going to war in self-defense. But what about the communist Cubans, who have been waging war on the United States since Castro seized power in 1959? That’s 67 years.
The Trump Administration has published a new report, “Cuba: The Capital of 21st Century Communism,” which documents most but not all Cuban-sponsored terrorism and subversion on American soil. I read this report and wondered why, in view of the evidence, the Cuban regime has escaped the same fate now being inflicted on Iran.
Cuba is only 90 miles from the U.S. and once hosted Soviet nuclear weapons targeted at the United States.
The report was released by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, born on American soil to Cuban immigrants.
The Rubio report documents decades of Cuban-sponsored espionage, terrorism, and subversion against the United States. However, my own special report documents critical “gaps” in Rubio’s analysis regarding deep-rooted communist connections within American politics and media, including the involvement of President Barack Hussein Obama in the Cuba-sponsored network.
My analysis highlights the Soviet/Cuban role in the JFK assassination. I note that assassin Lee Harvey Oswald was a member of the Fair Play for Cuba Committee and that intelligence books (such as those by former CIA officer Brian Latell and former Romanian intelligence chief Ion Mihai Pacepa) indicate Fidel Castro knew of the plot and that the KGB programmed Oswald to kill JFK.
What is more, U.S. agencies covered up these communist ties to prevent a nuclear crisis with the Soviet Union. What will Secretary Rubio do about that?
Rubio’s report ignores the role of the mainstream media—specifically The New York Times and reporter Herbert Matthews—for famously whitewashing Castro as a non-communist and romanticizing revolutionary figures. Liberal media outlets and reporters continued a pattern of portraying Central American guerrilla groups and communist movements as “the good guys.”
My special report also documents historical ties between Cuban intelligence officials and prominent American journalists, such as The Washington Post news editor Laurence Stern.
The Obama Connection
My major critique of the Rubio report consists of the failure to explain Obama’s role in the Soviet/Cuban network on American soil.
Obama had deep historical ties to communist networks in Hawaii (such as mentor Frank Marshall Davis) and Chicago. The Rubio report minimizes these domestic radical links—including Obama’s interactions with former Weather Underground figures like Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn—and omits a broader historical evaluation of how modern political shifts accommodated these influences, leading to the communist orientation of the national Democratic Party today.
The “full history” Rubio claims in his report omits the details about President Barack Hussein Obama’s communist connections to Cuba and the Soviet Union. We exposed all of this on May 22, 2008, before Obama was elected to his first term.
Among other revelations, we discussed:
- Obama has been in the middle of two international communist networks – one in Hawaii and one in Chicago.
- The Hawaii network included communists Frank Marshall Davis, who was Obama’s personal mentor; actor/singer Paul Robeson; and labor leader Harry Bridges. The network was judged a security threat to the United States and the subject of a congressional hearing on the “Scope of Soviet Activity in the United States.”
- Obama covered up the true identity of Frank Marshall Davis in his book, Dreams from My Father.
- The Hawaii communist network was organized directly by and from Moscow.
- The Chicago network included identified communists and socialists, was committed to a communist victory in the Vietnam War, and took instructions from the communist Castro regime in Cuba.
Obama is mentioned in the State Department report on Cuba on page 46, where it is explained that,” In 1995, Barack Obama launched his first-ever run for political office in the living room of Dohrn and her husband, Bill Ayers – another co-founder of the Weather Underground who would go on to become Professor of Education at University of Illinois at Chicago.” The report discusses his “opening to Cuba,” which trained terrorists for attacks on America.
But that brief mention ignores his relationship with Communist Frank Marshall Davis, his childhood mentor. We documented that back in 2008. The media tried to destroy my organization and me as a result.
Rubio’s report notes, “Cuban agents infiltrated the top levels of the State Department, the National Security Council, and the Pentagon, operating undercover for decades without detection.” It omits the White House itself. Why?
The cover-up continues.
Terrorist leaders Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, who helped launch Obama’s political career in Chicago, still have not been prosecuted for their alleged roles in the 1970 bombing murder of San Francisco Police Sergeant Brian V. McDonnell. A bomb filled with heavy metal staples exploded at the police station and ripped through his body. He was in the hospital for two days, bleeding from his wounds, before he finally died.
We wait for the Department of Justice to act.
