An Act of War

By: Cliff Kincaid

The problem wasn’t Fauci; it was Red China. The communists killed 1.2 million Americans. It wasn’t a “lab leak.” It was a bioweapon to kill Americans and weaken our nation. Until we recognize this fact, we will have wasted the significance of the spectacle of Fauci invoking the Fifth.

Here’s the problem for Senator Rand Paul, who convened the hearing. He’s a libertarian pacifist who doesn’t believe in fighting back against our enemies. He opposes President Trump’s war against Iran. He opposes Trump’s tariffs. He was beaten up by a neighbor in Kentucky.

He isn’t known as “Senator Snake” for nothing.

As I wrote previously, Rand Paul is consistently voting with the Democrats and attacking President Trump over Iran, insisting that “a 47-year-old conflict does not qualify” for a war.  He was wrong about Russia when he offered a justification and “reasons” for the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and now he’s wrong about Iran.

Wouldn’t a reasonable person conclude that, after 47 years of attacks on America, which cost hundreds of American lives and produced many wounded warriors, America had the right to respond in self-defense? Not Rand Paul.

This helps explain why the Senator focuses on Fauci rather than China, the origin of the virus, and peddles the “lab leak” theory. Fauci functioned as an agent of China. His masters in Beijing are the real villains. Senator Paul lets China off the hook, knowing that this act of war requires a United States military response.

If Senator Paul were serious, he would ask for a Declaration of War against China over killing 1.2 million Americans. He is not serious.

Fauci is a liar, but the Red Chinese are bigger liars. They are a much bigger threat than dupes like Fauci.

Remember the Chinese regime took a page out of the old Soviet playbook by claiming the Chinese coronavirus originated in the United States. As concern about AIDS was growing in the 1980s, the Soviet Union had launched a disinformation campaign charging that an American military laboratory had developed the virus that caused HIV/AIDS. The Soviets were lying in order to cover up their own biological weapons program.

Don’t get me wrong. It is worthwhile to investigate how the NIH and CDC enabled China’s biomedical industry to progress to the point where it has become a Frankenstein monster threatening the United States and the world. Fauci was in the middle of this scandal.

But the basic point must be made that the release of the virus was an act of war.

As I wrote at the time, on April 4, 2020, the China virus was revenge for Trump’s tariffs on Chinese goods. Otherwise, China and its handmaidens in the World Health Organization would have quickly alerted the world to the nature of this beast. They lied, and Americans died.

At the time, President Trump believed he had no alternative but to defer to the “authorities” like Fauci. But he had to suspect at the time, based on its contagious and deadly nature, that the virus was engineered. China has a bioweapons program that has been documented by such authorities as former Soviet scientist Ken Alibek and analyst Eric Croddy.

Nobody with a serious mind should have assumed it was just a coincidence that the virus came out of a region with a Chinese lab conducting secret research.

Tragically, this is just one of many acts of war conducted by our enemies.

To this day, on the eve of the 25th anniversary of 9/11, the FBI has still failed to resolve the question of who carried out the post-9/11 anthrax attacks on America. They killed five Americans, poisoned others, and resulted in billions of dollars of economic damage.

For those unfamiliar with FBI incompetence in the anthrax case, consider watching the Clint Eastwood movie, “Richard Jewell,” about how the FBI (and the media) framed an innocent man in the 1996 Olympic Park bombing case. The same FBI pattern of deception was employed in the post-9/11 anthrax letters case. The FBI had a “profile” that led them in the wrong direction.

The anthrax letters, which were mailed to American media organizations and two senators, featured the phrases “Death to America,” “Death to Israel,” and “Allah is God.” These were indications that an Islamic extremist had written them. At least one of the 9/11 hijackers had a lesion, possibly from anthrax exposure.

But the FBI dismissed these obvious leads as a diversion intended to falsely blame radical Islam and focus attention away from the real perpetrator, supposedly a right-winger with a military background.

Playing down the threat of jihadist bioterrorism is something that U.S. intelligence agencies, led by the FBI, did in the case of the anthrax attacks. From the start of the FBI’s inquiry, the bureau seemed determined to eliminate Al Qaeda as a source of the attacks, even though the terrorist group’s biological weapons program was run by an identified Soviet KGB agent, Ayman al-Zawahiri.

The FBI director at the time was Robert Mueller, who later became the Russia-gate special prosecutor pursuing Trump. In 2010, the FBI officially tried to close the case by blaming the anthrax attacks on a dead man, U.S. Army scientist Bruce Ivins.

The FBI’s mishandling of the anthrax case is relevant because of the need to investigate the source of the coronavirus, Communist China.

Our media, led by the New York Times, had insisted that it was unacceptable conspiracy thinking to label the China virus a bioweapon from China. This was the same paper which, in the aftermath of the anthrax attacks, fingered an innocent man, Dr. Steven Hatfill, as the culprit. Our research showed the anthrax was stolen from a U.S. lab by an al-Qaeda operative.

In both cases, the COVID pandemic and the post-9/11 anthrax letters case, our enemies have released biological weapons made possible by U.S. Government funding and research.

As Americans, if only from the viewpoint of national survival, we have an obligation to put a name and a face to evil in the world today. Fauci is a mere dupe in this effort.

Islamic terrorism and communism are two of the major threats to America and the world today, and they are in fact evil.  But hearings and contempt citations won’t solve the problem.

Unfortunately, Senator Paul’s approach to evil is to vote with the Democrats against President Trump in foreign policy.  His sideshow featuring Fauci should not mislead or confuse us.

Our enemies are waging war on the United States. Holding Fauci in contempt or even putting him in prison is not an adequate response.

Another act of war that requires a response is the joint China/Russia/Cuba use of a new weapon that produces the health problems known as “Havana syndrome” against American intelligence officials and diplomats.

Think about it: federal officials and public servants are suffering, and they can’t understand why, after 10 years of such attacks and endless investigations, nothing is done about these acts of war.

Is America just a paper tiger after all? That is where Senator Paul should address his efforts. But that would require abandoning his limp-wristed libertarianism.

As a Senator, Marco Rubio had been one of the most prominent congressional champions for victims of “Havana syndrome” and co-authored the HAVANA Act, standing for Helping American Victims Afflicted by Neurological Attacks.

As Secretary of State, he says, “…I think there are most definitely cases where there is no logical explanation other than the fact that some external mechanism caused them to suffer brain injuries that in many cases looked like they were hit over the head with a baseball bat or assaulted somewhere.  We can’t ignore that.”

Asked about “government gaslighting” or lying about the weapons, he said, “Well, I think it’s outrageous.  And I don’t know what the intent was behind that, but ultimately this State Department is going to be transparent with them.  Anything we know, they will know.  And in the meantime, we are going to assume the worst, and we’re going to treat them as if they were victims.  No matter what, we’re going to treat them as if they were people that were harmed by serving our country overseas.”

What we already know is that our enemies have done this to us. They are committing acts of war against America.

Who will defend the American people?
