Russian President Vladimir Putin sent encouragement and greetings to the founding conference of a new international alliance of communist parties – the SOVINTERN covened in Moscow on April 27th.

Putin’s message reads, in part:
“Your meeting has brought together in Moscow representatives of Russian and foreign political parties and movements, as well as public organisations committed to social justice, sovereign development, and traditional spiritual and moral values.
I would like to emphasise that Russia has consistently sought to expand meaningful dialogue among constructive national political forces. Together with our partners in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, BRICS, and the Eurasian Economic Union, we are developing practical mechanisms for cooperation across legislative and party platforms. These efforts are aimed at bringing together political leaders and parliamentarians from our countries to jointly address shared challenges to global and regional stability and security, while also promoting economic and social development…”
The new SOVINTERN – For Socialism in the 21st Century International Socialist Network, opposes “Donald Trump’s imperialism” and the “NATO war against Russia”. It considers that Western social democracy as gathered in the Socialist International serves American militarism. The ideology of the SOVINTERN ranges from social patriotism, Social conservatism, Stalinism and left-wing nationalism, along with being supportive of Russia.
The meeting was promoted by A Just Russia, a party that serves as a bridge between Putin’s Untied Russia and the the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
The new SOVINTERN was founded by 10 communist organizations, but plans soon to group together more than 100 parties from all over the planet.
The founding parties were:
- A Just Russia
- American Communist Party
- Authentic Socialist Party (Argentina.)
- Communist Party of Argentina
- Communist Party Marxist – Kenya
- Union of Democratic Socialists, (Congo)
- Party of Progress and Socialism (Morocco)
- Party of Socialists of the Republic (Moldova)
- Sandinista National Liberation Front (Nicaragua)
- Movement of Socialists (Serbia)
- Tunisia Forward
- Workers Party of Britain
The American Communist Party (not to be confused with the not quite as openly pro-Russia Communist Party USA) was represented by several party leaders including Chris Helali, Carlos Garrido, Eddie “Liger” Smith, Haz Al-Din, Kyle Pettis and Jackson Hinkle.

Incidentally, Hinkle has long been close to President Trump’s Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

Not many degrees of separation between Russia’s most prominent “Christian” and the occupier of the most important intelligence post in the Western world.
