“There’s so much hate in your eyes,” President Trump said of CNN’s Kaitlan Collins. They have hatred in their pens, pencils, and computers.
“You’re a one-sided crooked network,” he said to NBC’s Kristen Welker. “Do you know that I won an election in a landslide and I got 94% bad press?” He added, “Your elections are crooked, and you’re crooked, and Meet the Press is crooked…and so is ABC and CBS and CNN.”
But Trump isn’t their only target.
As a long-time media critic who wrote several books on media malpractice, I am attuned to media bias and distortion. I know it gets tiring, but every so often, it is worthwhile to dissect examples of media bias to understand their constantly evolving techniques of media manipulation. One current target is Free China on Taiwan.
Before I get to that, Trump said about Collins, “She was a conservative from Alabama. Can you believe it?” Indeed, she was an intern at The Daily Caller, started by Tucker Carlson, who has also had a major transformation.
Who can you trust? I have a track record.
Collins was a one-time critic of George Soros, saying, “George Soros is this foreign-born left-wing guy who essentially wants to change the nature of our country…” She then went to work for CNN.
Consider what Axios said about how Democrats in New Jersey’s 12th District, following the advice of “progressive” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and getting their nominee, Adam Hamawy, “a U.S. Army veteran and plastic surgeon.”
Not mentioned: he had a long relationship with — and testified on behalf of — the terrorist Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman, the so-called “Blind Sheikh” known as “the emir of jihad.”
By the way, Marxist attorney Lynne Stewart, who represented Omar Abdel-Rahman, told the Monthly Review magazine that radical Islamists are “basically forces of national liberation.” Stewart was convicted and imprisoned for providing illegal support to foreign Islamic terrorists.
I recommend our book, All The Dupes Fit To Print: Journalists Who Have Served As Tools Of Communist Propaganda.
The liars are not just at Axios. There are many more who hate the truth.
As they seek to undermine President Trump’s termination of the Iranian nuclear threat, the media also want Trump to abandon the free Chinese on Taiwan, just as they promoted American defeatism in Vietnam, led by CBS News anchorman Walter Cronkite, a target of Soviet propaganda.
Consider this one from NBC: “Trump says he will hold protocol-shattering call with Taiwan leader.” The story claims, “President Donald Trump has said he may speak with the leader of the Beijing-claimed island in a move likely to antagonize China, though it is unclear whether a call will actually take place.”
Notice the use of the term “Beijing-claimed island,” a phrase that pleases the communist Chinese. The “island” is the Republic of China on Taiwan, an independent nation.
This story by the low-IQ fake news reporter Jennifer Jett is an indication that the 23 million people on the island of Free China on Taiwan are in immediate danger.
The story is a new low, among the lowest of the already low in the news “business,” which generates clicks with shocking claims and sensational headlines, always tinged with Trump Derangement Syndrome.
The absurd thrust of the story is that Trump may somehow offend the Communist dictator Xi by simply having a phone call with Taiwan President Lai Ching-te.
The writer’s bio says, “Jennifer Jett is the Asia Digital Editor for NBC News, based in Hong Kong.” That means she lives in Chinese Hong Kong, controlled by the communists, and that she is subject to expulsion if she doesn’t toe the Communist Party line.
I discovered that she “once dreamed of being a political reporter in Washington, D.C.,” but “ended up moving to Beijing, where she spent three years teaching English and working for an English-language news magazine.”
She said a call between Trump and the president of Free China would constitute “a major break in U.S. presidential protocol and likely antagonize China.” That’s the communist line.
Here’s what AI told me: “Strictly speaking, there is no law or formal treaty that bans a phone call between the President of the United States and the President of Taiwan. However, doing so violates more than four decades of highly sensitive diplomatic protocol and established U.S. foreign policy guidelines.”
So, where does this “protocol” originate? Jimmy Carter, who shifted U.S. diplomatic recognition from Taiwan to Beijing (the People’s Republic of China) in 1979, agreed to the “One China” policy.
In other words, Carter betrayed Free China on Taiwan.
There is no reason for Trump to adopt Jimmy Carter’s approach. Carter abandoned Taiwan and Iran under the Shah, hardly something to emulate. Carter also gave Nicaragua to the Communist Sandinistas, still in power today but next in line to be deposed after Raúl Castro.
Barack Hussein Obama normalized relations with Communist Cuba and visited Raúl Castro, and that was reversed by Trump. Castro has since been indicted for murdering Americans.
NBC’s Jennifer Jett “received a South China Morning Post Wah Kiu Yat Po Scholarship to attend the JMSC’s master of Journalism program.” JMSC stands for Journalism and Media Studies Center at the University of Hong Kong (HKU).
Here is what AI told me about that:
- “While HKU is not an official branch of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), it is now tightly integrated into mainland China’s political, legal, and educational systems.”
- “Historically, HKU operated under a British-style model of institutional autonomy. Today, its leadership is closely aligned with Beijing…”
Here is what AI told me about her scholarship:
“The South China Morning Post (SCMP) is not directly owned or operated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), but it is heavily linked to the mainland Chinese power structure through its corporate ownership and severe political constraints. Historically celebrated as a fiercely independent, gold-standard English paper in Hong Kong, the SCMP has increasingly faced structural alignment with Beijing’s narrative over the last decade.”
In terms of corporate ownership, “the SCMP was bought for HK$2.6 billion ($330 million USD) by Alibaba Group, the Chinese e-commerce behemoth,” run by Alibaba’s co-founder, Jack Ma, a registered member of the Chinese Communist Party.
Before Jimmy Carter’s betrayal, Henry Kissinger began the process of normalizing relations with the Communist dictatorship on the mainland. His “China Opening” to the greatest mass murderer in history, Mao, was comparable to Neville Chamberlain’s “Peace in Our Time” overture to Hitler. Kissinger tried to consign Free China on Taiwan to communist enslavement. His “Peace Accords” turned Vietnam over to the communists.
The communist-line coverage by NBC and other “news” organizations must be exposed for what it is –propaganda.
