How the Tea Party Can Save America and the World – a Plea From New Zealand

Submitted by on July 3, 2013 – 8:31 am EST37 Comments

Many Tea Partiers and American patriots understand that the fate of the United States of America hangs in the balance.

Tea partynnnn

No melodrama here. If the US loses its position as the world’s number one military super power, another country, or countries, will take its place.

Realistically, that can only be Russia or China, or more likely, an alliance of Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Vietnam and whoever ever else climbs aboard.

As the U.S. Dollar slowly sinks and America’s prestige and power goes with it, the “Evil Axis” grows bolder.

But why should I care? I’m safe aren’t I? Way down at the bottom of the South Pacific, in New Zealand.

Well, maybe not so safe. China is steadily advancing through the Pacific. It now has several footholds in our region, particularly in Fiji, which is my country’s nearest major island neighbor. To any thinking Aussie or Kiwi, this is cause for major concern.

in June of 2012, Song Xiaojun, a “retired” Chinese general, told Australia’s Sydney Morning Herald, that “Australia has to find a godfather sooner or later…” “Australia always has to depend on somebody else, whether it is to be the ‘son’ of the U.S. or ‘son’ of China,” Song said, adding that Australia had best choose China because it all “depends on who is more powerful and based on the strategic environment.”

If America goes under folks, the West goes under. No ifs, no buts. Only a strong America can keep the bad guys in check. Just as soldiers from all over the world fought in Europe and the Pacific to save liberty in WW2, today’s freedom lovers need to join the fight to save the US. Once liberty was fought for in the Coral Sea, Guadalcanal, Normandy and Sicily. Now if liberty is to be saved, we must win the electoral battles of Florida, Ohio, Virginia and Colorado.

From my home in Christchurch, I recently spent an hour on the phone with a savvy Florida activist. She outlined for me the crushing problems being faced by American patriots, in the face of a relentless leftist onslaught from the Obama Administration. According to my usually optimistic friend, much of the Tea Party is in disarray, the GOP leadership is even more arrogant and out of touch than usual and if the Dems pass “immigration reform” the Republic will be swamped with millions of new loyal Democrats, effectively turning the US into a permanent “one party state.”

And to cap that, now I’m hearing whispers of a third party.

Let’s get real. There is only one vehicle that can take back America from the Democrats and their union and far left allies, in the very limited time we have left. That is the Republican Party. If the Democrats hold the Senate and take back the House in 2014, or even 2016, which they could well do, America is done for.

Illegal immigrants will be granted voting rights and the intimidation tactics now being employed will seem like kindergarten bullying, as the Democrats and unions unleash full force on their remaining opposition. There is a climate of fear now in the United States. If the Democrats get back in full control, they will NEVER relinquish it. This is no longer the old GOP/Dem turnabout game. This is the left for playing keeps and the GOP playing constant catchup.

While I have no particular love for the Republican Party, its hard to see how starting a third party right now could possibly do anything but hand both the House and the Senate to the Dems in 2014 and the presidency to the left in 2016. If that happens, the left will never give up power without bloodshed. If it ever comes to serious civil unrest and the socialist’s power is actually threatened, foreign troops will be called in to restore order. That will be the end of America – and of the entire West. A peaceful revolution is our only realistic hope.

So what to do? A third party will almost certainly hand America to the tyrants. The GOP leadership is ineffectual at best, often cowardly and unprincipled – occasionally even treacherous.

But the GOP does have a structure, a brand, some money, hundreds of thousands of dedicated activists and tens of millions of voters.

That is not something to throw away.

The Tea Party faces a choice. They can “throw their toys out of the cot” as we say in New Zealand and walk away from the GOP. They can work on local issues alone, or dissolve, or form a third party. Satisfying as those options may be, they are almost certainly guaranteed to consign your children and grandchildren to a life of slavery – at best.

So what is the alternative?

I have addressed more than 150 Tea Party groups. I have met thousands of activists. You people are the best of America. I write this on the verge of tears as I remember the amazing patriots, thinkers and activists I have met on my four speaking tours of your amazing country. If America is to be saved, you will do it. No other movement has the energy, drive, commitment, fortitude, foresight or integrity of the Tea Party patriots.

You however have one major weakness. You lack self confidence.

The vast majority of you are political novices. You take too much advice from your self appointed “betters” in the GOP and the mainstream conservative movement. This was illustrated in places like Florida, last year, where the Tea Party activists were “forbidden”  from pushing the illegal immigrant issue by various “consultants’ and GOP hacks.

The Tea Party needs to realize you have the truth on your side. You are real people, with roots in your communities. Many of you are veterans. You are far more in touch with voters than any GOP blueblood or K street consultant ever will be.

So what should your wonderful movement do?

Here is my advice. It is far from perfect, but I hope it will at least add to the debate.

Its all about CONCENTRATION OF FORCES.

I’ve met a lot of Tea Partiers working inside the GOP. Some of them very successfully. However what tends to happen is that many of them become marginalized by GOP “moderates” and their good work comes to little.

In Australia, the Labor Party – the counterpart, of your Democrats, operates in two main formalized factions – the conservative/moderate Labor Unity and the Socialist Left. One party, two power blocs. Effectively two separate organizations within a one party structure. The two factions horse trade, do deals, fight like cats and dogs, compete viciously with each other, yet at election time, stand as a “united front” against their conservative opposition.

I’m suggesting that the  Tea Party should adopt a variant of this approach. Join the GOP en masse, but don’t dilute your  efforts by operating as scattered individuals inside the GOP structure. If the tea parties collectively become say, a “Constitutional Caucus”, within the GOP, you could maintain your agenda and your integrity, but would also have the advantage of GOP structure, branding and the ability to actually get your candidates elected. Don’t join GOP branches, BECOME GOP BRANCHES.

There need be nothing covert about this. Tea Party groups should identify themselves openly as Constitutional Republicans and refuse to be in any way subservient to head office dictates. Put the GOP old guard on notice that you are here to retake your party and restore it to its constitutional foundations. Openly state that you regard them as usurpers until proven otherwise.

Boldly proclaim that you fully intend to bloc vote your way into positions of influence and that you will work with other Constitutionalists in your state and nationally to primary GOP candidates, no matter how long serving, who do not actively support in word and deed, the US Constitution. TAKE NO PRISONERS.

Concentrate your resources. Pick winnable fights only. Do not primary candidates you cannot defeat this election cycle. I’ve seen that happen too often. Tea Party groups targeting scattered RINOs all over the state and not quite beating any of them. Pick a handful of winnable races each election cycle and call in fellow Constitutionalists from all over the state to defeat the RINOs and elect some of your own. If they do not respect you MAKE THEM FEAR YOU. The respect will follow later – trust me.

Now is not the time for peripheral issues either. The survival of the United States of America is at stake. The future of Western civilization hangs in the balance. CORE ISSUES ONLY. The Constitution, National Security (including border control, and gun rights), Education and the Economy) . I don’t want to minimize other issues, but this is a last ditch effort to save your country and mine. If we blow this one, there may not be another in our great great grandchildren’s lifetimes.

This is cultural warfare folks and we must concentrate resources on core issue that may actually help to defeat our opponents  in both parties, in the fast approaching battles ahead.

Logically, the United States of America should never been born. In the 1770’s most Americans were either pro-British or apathetic. Fewer than 10% of the population actually supported the revolution and way fewer actually fought it.

How in God’s name, did a bunch of poorly armed farmers and lawyers, laborers, shopkeepers and tradesmen, seriously hope to defeat the mightiest army in the world at that time? Yet they did it. I left out one important group for a reason. The first American revolution was preached from the pulpit. Hundreds of pastors, a bible in one hand, a long rifle in the other,  boldly supported George Washington’s ragtag army. They understood better than any one that America was founded on religious freedom. They understood exactly what was at stake.

The first American revolutionaries were inspired by something much greater than themselves. You Tea Party revolutionaries always need to keep the big picture in mind.

If you don’t think this war is worth winning, you tell me one that is? If you don’t think your grandchildren’s liberty is worth fighting for,  please tell me what you do care about?

We all admire the first American revolutionaries, for their incredible bravery and fortitude and sacrifice. They risked everything to give you the exceptional  country you enjoy today.

In two hundred years time,  young teenagers will be standing in front of civics and history classes in schools all across America. These young people will talk about their free and prosperous country with great pride. But some of the proudest will be able to say something like this;

“You know guys, you know back in the early 2000s when the country was in crisis, when a lot of people thought America was done for. When patriots stood up and saved the Republic, restored the Constitution? Gave us the incredible freedom and prosperity we enjoy today? Well I’ve done some family research. And you know what? My great great great Grandpa and Grandma…they were in the TEA PARTY…”

Your Creator gave you both a heart and a brain folks. Now is the time to use both.

Yours in Liberty

Australia and New Zealand are perfect as a takeover target for China. They need land and resources and Australia and NZ have them. Better still both countries have small populations making them easier to takeover and to manage. Imagine the difficulty in managing a country like India with it’s trillion people. So if the U.S. declines enough Expect China to take advantage of it.

    • Nancy says:

We have tons of Chinese moving into Australia. It wasn’t a worry, because they brought competition and a good work ethic. But now they are creating their own town centers and taking over areas so much that it’s like being in China. I worry that they are being allowed in for another shadowy purpose. Sleepers for the NWO. They all know how to snap back into communist mode on command I am certain.

  • Clif Hampton says:

Please mention the arrogant liberal “socialist” media when you discuss the liberal politicians. Your greatest battle will be with the media. Please study our efforts after WWII in congress, which the media called McCarthyism. They are relentless, and frame public opinion.
    Thanks for listening!

Talk about bringing tears to your eyes!WELL DONE! I can’t add a thing except, being a tea party member,I couldn’t be prouder.

    • Dittos! It’s hard to see from here but future generations will be looking back and they are either gonna curse us or thank us. One thing for sure in my mind….My descendants will at least know that this forefather fought like hell to preserve and pass on the American dream.

  • Michael Frisbee says:

I agree with much of what he says – throw in a coordinated effort to organize at the precinct level, seek to gain majority control of the precinct committees through the precinct chairs, and then force executive committees to follow charters, regulations, etc.

That way these precinct committees can start putting Constitutionalists into administrative roles of the party, start endorsing and pushing Constitutionalist candidates for offices, begin changing policies and platforms to truly reflect a Constitutional Republic.

It would only take 275,000 dedicated and organized people across this nation to take majority control of BOTH national parties. Can you imagine what could be done if we had 1 million, 2 million, or even 3 million patriotic Constitution loving TEA party members seeking a covert takeover of the GOP AND the DEMS?

    • Nancy says:

And don’t forget running for local school boards and also local councils. The indoctrination and ‘sustainable management of humanity’ must also be taken over and stopped. One small segment at a time will reach critical mass if enough citizen patriots step up. That’s how the left got so far. They community organised and worked towards one goal: FORWARD TO TRANSFORM AMERICA.

    about pro-”amnesty” voters being primaried.

Though I don’t agree 100% with it, and share *a few* of your concerns, the upshot at this point in history is
WE MUST START AND VOTE FOR A NEW PARTY…NOW.

The GOP?!? After Bush, Dole, Bush, Romney…and all they offer is Jeb Bush, Christie Cream and the like?!?
THEY DO NOT LISTEN TO US.
    THEY DON’T *WANT* TO LEARN.

I for one will likely vote republican in 2014, *only* to stave off a Dem/Marxist takeover of the House, as long as someone like Obama is in power.
    …but, after *that*?
THE GOP IS DEAD TO ME.
    NEVER again.

Don’t fool yourself or restrict your options out of context.
“Third Party” *may* be unreasonable in certain situations.
Sticking with the Dem/Rep template, ONE Party is all we’ll have left.

The communists did not hesitake in taking over the democratic party; and we who still love God and country should not hesitate to take over the republican party, one seat at a time. It is a good vs evil fight and the good must be united. Thank you Trevor for all that you do!

    • Navypatriot says:

There are 79 Democrat members in the CPUSA! They caught a lot of grief a few years ago and created the Democratic/Progressive Caucus (or something like that). But the names on the rosters are EXACTLY the same!

  • bitterclinger says:

The Establishment GOP not only are embarrassed of their base, many TEA Partiers (myself included) have concluded what Glenn Beck said a couple years ago: both parties are in collusion.

The corruption, the revisionist history, the thug tactics don’t appear to bother the GOPe. Former standouts in the party like Rand Paul have taken a mocking tone of late re the amnesty fears of TEA Partiers. Some are starting to see the light about former congressman and retired Lt. Col. Allen West, who talks a good game bt votes like a democrat. Even Ted Cruz, probably THE man with the most hope pinned to him, has advocated for some sort of amnesty.

The only officeholders that appear to be true patriots in the House are Trey Gowdy, Louis Gohmert and Steve King (IA). In the senate, it looks like Mike Lee hasn’t been corrupted, and I’m still on the fence about Cruz.

My best hope is for the feisty Sarah Palin, who has admirers in the millions. She’s as honest as the day is long, and she’s a long-range planner and has the convictions of Reagan. If Sarah gives the word, an army will rise up. She is our “Esther,” who was born for such a time as this.

  • Folks just got to realize that we are already at war – right here in the U.S. – “Progressive” left against the Right and actually everyone else. They do not fight fair, they do not play nice, they lie, they cheat, they rig elections, they buy votes, they use bribery, corruption, payola, whatever it takes. Actually, that’s just good old Chicago style politics, but that’s another story. We got what we elected: A Chicago THUG, and he’s out to take over – EVERYTHING – on behalf of his cohorts. He’s just the “Front man” if you will, for an organization dedicated to ruining America and the World. The guy in the Whitehouse gave license to factions in the Middle East to overthrow Governments, he helped destabilize things such that Israel is threatened now more than at any time in recent history.

I read something last night, in _Barbarossa The Russian – German Conflict, 1941-45_ by former British Secretary of State Alan Clark that just stunned me. Let me get that for you. Hitler tried twice to infiltrate the inner workings of the Army, both were unsuccessful. In Mr. Clark’s words: “… they twice resisted with success major efforts at infiltration by Himmler (once through a campaign by the SS to deprive army chaplains of their military status, on another occasion when it was proposed to institute ‘voluntary’ classes of NAZI indoctrination in place of religious services).”

Does that just sound to you like what’s happened to our Military in the last 18 months? They’ve been gutted of any semblance (on the outside) of any Judeo-Christian values in the name of “Tolerance.” This Political Correctness is just a covert way of taking the wind out of our sails of FREEDOM OF SPEECH and the right to peacefully assemble in the name of our God and to speak out against bullies everywhere! Bullying is bullying regardless of whether it’s in the name of NAZIism or “Tolerance.” All I am saying is we ain’t gonna take it anymore.

  • Kelly says:

Well put and rght on the nail. Certainly states what so many of us understand the stakes are. I suspect many of the Obama supporters don’t really understand how what they wish for will affect them. By the time they do, it will be too late. Maybe we can request sanctuary in New Zealand.

  • Lisa G in NZ says:

    great post Trevor…

America is also in big trouble not just from Demo-communist policies, but also from “moderate” RINOs like Rubio who push Amnesty for illegals – WHILE THE BORDER STILL REMAINS INSECURE

NZ and Australia have border patrol – you and all other countries – including Mexico patrol their borders and only all LEGAL migrants entry.

Why should USA be any different? Declaring ‘amnesty’ for the 11 (or is 20?) MILLION illegal people – will ONLY encourage more illegals to enter – and America will be over, finished, kaput.

More on this at Heritage if anyone is interested: http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2013/05/the-fiscal-cost-of-unlawful-immigrants-and-amnesty-to-the-us-taxpayer

    Ok sorry I’ve side-tracked a bit.

THANK GOD for people like you Trevor – who speak out on why saving the USA is important.

We should have a cuppa some time when you’re up in Auckland, mate.

Thanks for two things. I had not realized what we are doing to save this country had the world wide impact you cited. I see it clearly now, but had just not thought about it.

And thanks for the push and the realization that we can do it, it will require God’s help to intervene as he did in the 1700s but with his help we can turn this nation around.

I must say by the time I finished your article I had tears in my eyes. I truly hope that the future holds the scenario you depict at the end of your writing. That thought makes me want to work even harder!

  • David Zuniga says:

    Dear Mr. Loudon,

Your passionate plea from New Zealand to America demands an answer from here in the heart of Texas.

First let me say that I have always loved what I have seen of New Zealand, and certainly hope to visit some day. I have had Kiwi associates in the past, and find ‘Kiwis’ to be wonderful people. I think the world of your beautiful country!

But it is not my country, and we do not have world government yet. I hope we never shall.

American taxpayers must not pay for New Zealand’s defense with their blood or treasure. It is not legal, nor is it moral.

Even if we wanted to use our tax revenues and our sons’ lives to defend the whole world, we have a constitutional problem, Trevor. The U.S. Constitution does not authorize American “force projection” and geopolitical gamesmanship for American corporations, bankrolled by unwitting, unwilling taxpayers.

I realize that it has gone on for 125 years, as Stephen Kinzer details in his book ‘Overthrow: America’s Century of Regime Change from Hawaii to Iraq’. But still, it violates the U.S. Constitution that every military employee swears an oath to defend.

To certify this, read Article I, Section 8, Clauses 12-16 of the Constitution. See? Those are the only military powers that We The People have authorized. Nowhere are foreign “force projection” deployments authorized; they are ILLEGAL.

Like any industry, the many suppliers and contractors that comprise the U.S. military industry would love to remain at present contract levels. Also, American industries, especially petrochem and mining — would love to continue receiving security services for their overseas operations, at no charge. These people are not stupid; but it is illegal for Congress to continue this practice — essentially, it is organized crime.

Many foreign countries enjoy — and prefer to continue enjoying — military defense provided by our sons, at our taxpayer expense. But this is not only immoral; it is breaking our private economy.

The framers of the Constitution had centuries of European history to draw upon; they were foursquare against a full-time, professional army. Thus they wrote into our Constitution only a defensive navy, an ad-hoc national army only for two years maximum for DEFENSE, and a Citizen Militia for domestic defense against invasion, for riot control, and for law enforcement. See a comprehensive discussion of this subject, complete with book links, here:

    http://www.americaagainnow.com/support_our_troops

The second item is your imperfect grasp of America’s political history (specifically the GOP), or the diminishing place of electoral politics in today’s American revolution, or the larger political revolution occurring worldwide at this time.

As to the last point, read James Davidson and Lord William Rees-Mogg’s classic book, ‘The Sovereign Individual’. The authors posited 15 years ago that the Internet would change human relations and destroy the largest, most redistributionist governments. The wasteful, opulent, bureaucratic systems will not last in their present form. If you are tracking America’s news cycles exposing the fraud, waste, and general corruption of the NSA and IRS, you haven’t seen anything yet!

As to the GOP as our savior, see this monograph exposing its birth, as the party of Karl Marx (yes, really) and as only the latest iteration of the “one percent” party:

    http://www.americaagainnow.com/red_roots_of_the_gop

Now about the TEA Party as savior: although you have surely spoken at more TEA Party events than I have, I can tell you that it is basically keyed in to electoral politics — another dinosaur — and is comprised of local homemakers and small businessmen that love their newfound local media notoriety and T-shirt sales, and would not like to lose their Grand Poohbah position.

The TEA Party cottage industry owners will not coalesce as one, for their life’s new purpose is to be a local ‘political leader’. Beyond that impediment is the fact that the sharpest tool in the TEA Party drawer is electoral politics. Those who believe that the U.S. Constitution will ever again be enforced, or federal Leviathan ever be diminished via election turnover — are ignorant of 180 years of election history in America.

Trevor, this being our Independence Day as you know, today I challenged my fellow Americans to grasp four basic points of American civics that will totally eclipse elections and political parties:

    http://www.americaagainnow.com/four_points_for_this_4th_of_july

I have not meant for one moment to offend you; only to correct your view of what New Zealand can, or should, expect of the American parent and spouse and business owner and taxpayer.

For you see, it is We The People — parents and spouses — who must send our loved ones to die in other countries in violation of our Constitution. It is We The People — business owners and taxpayers — who must pay for every dollar spent on military contracts and supplies that are shipped overseas as foreign ‘aid’.

It is wrong, sir. This mercantilist imperialism is bringing our republic to its knees. This we will not allow; not any more.

  • Nancy says:

Trevor, I think this is your best, most heartfelt article yet. It just resonates everything we need to hear. Everything you wrote is absolutely the truth. I’m spreading this around everywhere. God bless you Trevor, my 007!

  • Lodi Silverado says:

    Brilliant article, Trevor, thank you.

I agree with what you say until it comes to the solution part — which rests entirely on the assumption that free and fair elections are still possible in America. I cannot say definitively that they are not. But I consider the likelihood slim. I am NOT proposing that we give up trying. Yet. But I have little realistic hope for an election solution.

Add up the factors. We have a President whose spirituality and morality are Muslim & Communist based. He has shown his willingness to do anything outside the law he considers functional to his ends (complete power). Anything. He has wiretapped ALL American citizens via his MILITARY intelligence, used government agencies to illegally intimidate and obstruct political opposition to the degree that the 2012 election can really only be accurately described with the word ‘fraudulent’. I believe Americans have little reasonable expectation of fair elections in 2014.

Much more likely is Democrats winning the House and getting a 2/3rds majority in the Senate. A supermajority, with which they will rewrite portions of the Constitution so as to cement their permanent place in power. Then the hammer will really come down. There is nothing the Tea Party or patriotic Republicans will be able to do to stop it, no matter how well they organize, because even if they win the vote they will never find it out.

The fraud is perpetrated at multiple levels, from demographic ‘engineering’ to computer vote tally fraud, to voter fraud (a small slice of the whole), to an insurmountable media lock on the main channels to get information out to voters — now mainly pure government propaganda.

The reasonable thinker, while not claiming absolute foreknowledge of election outcomes must, I believe, take the very real possibility (probability?) into account that elections in the United States are now predetermined and are now closed as a realistic option for effective action, as are many other options.

If I am right, the scenario runs to your most pessimistic vision.

Patriotic Americans should at least be preparing for that scenario as seriously as they plan to campaign in the elections of 2014. That election will presage events to come for the entire world, as you rightly point out, and don’t think for a moment Obama — the unprincipled Communist and supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood — isn’t fully aware of it. He will use every means at his disposal, including the full capabilities of U.S. military intelligence and Federal agencies, to quash any chance of Dems losing in 2014, without regard for the law.

The U.S. Congress, including the Republican Party, is largely infiltrated by “Progressives” and they refuse to investigate election fraud in 2012 or Obama, himself.

Yesterday Americans celebrated “Independence Day”. I believe there is very good reason to consider the day in a light of tragic irony.

But American Patriots have not given up! We need to be brutally realistic in our situation assessment and not shy away from facts as they are, regardless of how well we like what they may imply.

Thanks again for your support of America. Please keep speaking out!

    • Maggie McC says:

Very insightful, wise comment…I could not agree more. Our only hope, I think, is in God, fir whom nothing is impossible. But we must turn to Him in trust and repentance and pray He will deliver our country from this evil. Because we are outmaneuvered on the mortal plane. Still, we must not surrender, a word that does not sit well with Americans–as we were, at least. The rest of the world has come to see what many Americans refuse to face and perhaps that may open the eyes of some Obamabots.

  • JD says:

I’m a lonely Conservative living in Oakland, CA (just a few miles from San Francisco). I’m not so sure about the Republican Party anymore. They have shown great reluctance accepting the Tea Party. At the same time, the party is infested w/ R.epubeicans I.n N.ame O.nly (we call ’em RINOs).
I am increasingly favorable towards a 3rd “Freedom Party”

  • Louis says:

Americans need to take an example from the patriots who gave birth to the USA in 1776. We have been temporarily sidetracked from the idea of self-sacrificing patriotism. Fan the cinders of freedom, liberty and patriotism in order to awaken the fire and spirit of 1776. Patriotic Americans can and will save America from self-destruction.

  • This paragraph will help the internet people for setting up new website or even a
    weblog from start to end.

  • Kirly says:

you are exactly right with this posting. however, there is a faction of people in the USA who will accept nothing short of “perfection” in their candidates. These are the people who sit out the elections, refuse to participate, etc because the Republican candidate doesn’t agree with them 100%. They are shortsighted and believe that they can take everything back in a single fell swoop. That is simplistic and ignores the fact that we didn’t get this far to the left overnight. It took at least 100 years and will take at least that long, likely longer, to turn it back around but they refuse to accept that reality. Of course, I could be wrong but I don’t think so. We saw these people sit out the election in ’08 and some again in ’12. Many of us begged them not to do this but to no avail.

  • Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has been my hero since the day she was chosen to run for Vice-President on the Republican Party ticket in 2008. Sarah Palin has always epitomized the strong, patriotic female conservative with her Mama Grizzly and Lipstick on a Pit Bull attitude. Now I suspect she is about to consider the biggest mistake of her life and I am afraid a great number of her loyal fans will follow her. Jeff Poor wrote yesterday on The Daily Caller, “Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the 2008 Republican nominee for vice president responded to a Fox News Channel viewer’s Twitter question Saturday about the possibility of her and conservative talker Mark Levin abandoning the Republican Party and creating something called the “Freedom Party.”

When true Republicans stand fast on the traditional principles of their party they win elections. Unfortunately, there are too many Republicans In Name Only (RINOs) who have managed to destroy the image we represent. It was no coincidence that Sarah Palin was chosen to run along side one of the party’s biggest RINOs, Arizona Senator John McCain. Without Sarah Palin on the ticket, I and a whole lot of other conservative Republicans would have probably stayed home on election day in 2008. This is not the first time that a strong liberal influence has taken hold of the Republican Party. I was there in New York when the state Republican Party was dominated by ultra liberals Nelson Rockefeller and Jacob Javits. In fact, what the conservative Republicans did then in the early 1960s is just what Sarah Palin is thinking of doing now. Abandoning the Republican Party and creating a new political party. Sarah Palin is calling her party The Freedom Party, the disenfranchised Republicans in New York called their new party The Conservative Party.

If history has a way of repeating itself, Sarah Palin’s Freedom Party will become relegated to a distant 3rd or 4th place in the national political power base. The New York State Conservative Party was only successful in electing one candidate to a national office in the last 50 years and that was James Buckley who became a one term U.S. Senator. James Buckley was the brother of noted columnist William F. Buckley and shared his notoriety. From the inception of the Conservative Party their greatest influence was in cross-endorsing a handful of conservative Republicans in local elections. Their one-time success at cross-endorsement was when they helped elect Republican Alfonse D’Amato to the Senate (also for one term) but on the national level there are only 8 states that allow fusion tickets combining vote tallies from more than one line: Connecticut, Delaware, Idaho, Mississippi, New York, Oregon, South Carolina and Vermont.

My strongest advice to Sarah Palin is in the words of someone she may admire: “You don’t change horses in the middle of the stream.” And it comes from the mouth of the most famous Republican of all, Abraham Lincoln. From an 1864 speech by Abraham Lincoln, in reply to Delegation from the National Union League who were urging him to be their presidential candidate. ‘An old Dutch farmer, who remarked to a companion once that it was not best to swap horses when crossing streams.”

Sarah Palin is a fraud, opportunist, marketing genius, quitter and a parasite on the backside of America. Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, et al, would have walked her to the door and told her never to come back. Sarah Palin is only interested in Sarah Palin and nothing else. Her actions speak for themselves – prima facie in legal jargon – on its face.

  • The Tea Party cant save anything. Not only has the GOP taken them over but they were never nearly conservative enough to begin with.

I understand how you feel, I was of the exact same opinion until just a few weeks ago. But the article and those who promote that point of view are in some cases hiding in others not seeing or unwilling to see that “we are NOT fighting against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and the rulers of darkness of this age.” Both parties are taking us to HELL, one is just doing it faster the other that is at least pretending to drag it’s feet.

America was not made great by parties but rather in spite of them. It was made great by men and women who spent a good deal of time on their knees and in the study and application of the Word of God. It is ONLY the restoration of God’s people to repentance and dependence on Him that can stop our current downward spiral.

I believe in a God of miracles as did the founders. They were not just great men, they were men who acknowledged that all they knew and were was not sufficient for the task before them. But, with His divine intervention and wisdom he imparted to them, by His divine council, they knew they MUST do what they were called to do.

It is the money and power of the two “major parties” in American that is taking us down this road. If you put a good man in that system more likely than not he will be corrupted because he/she will ultimate bow his or her knee to money and power. Look at Marco Rubio, he has become a stooge for the left by buying into the SYSTEM.

We need a third party, free of distractions from the current party machines. A party the acknowledges, as our founders did, “it is not by might nor by power but by My Spirit says the Lord”. A party who’s strength and governing authority flows from the people rather than the people being mere subjects of an elitist class. A party built upon and subject to the rule of law, the protection of innocent life.

I might add. If Australia and the Netherlands or any country is concerned with the balance of power resulting in loss of freedom you might want to consider the values and dependencies of those who graced this planet, for the first time in all it’s history, with a government who’s authority to govern was based not on might, power or money, but on the principles so eloquently set for the the American Declaration of Independence.

If you fear your liberties are in danger, go to their source.

Sounds like good advise. Hopefully, the churches in America will wake up and begin to preach our values in the pulpit once again.

Perhaps I can be of some assistance to those interested in forming a functional and effective Third Party. I have some experience with that. In 1992, I was the Illinois State Chairman for the Ross Perot campaign. Anyone remember him? Well, it was an interesting year, and an experimental move into politics for me. If my experiences cn be of help, I would be glad to volunteer now, as I did then. We came closer than anyone realizes to pulling off the upset of all time.

I’m tired of American taxpayers paying to defend the west and the rest of the world from dictators and other miscreants. If you are so worried that NZ and AUS will be over-run by the Chinese pay us to defend you. Pay us for the planes, ships and all the military personnel, as well as for all the other expenses incurred in protecting you. As you invested money in your infrastructure and education system, America invested in the war machine and neglected our schools and infrastructure.

I’m tired of America being the only cop on the beat and watching our brave soldiers die.

  • Thanks for the good writeup. It in fact used to be a amusement account it.

Look advanced to far introduced agreeable from you!
