Looks like the Department of Justice needs to do some housekeeping… they seem to have an infestation of DSAers. I wrote on DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen earlier today and how Democratic Socialists of America thugs basically chased her out of a Mexican restaurant in D.C., shouting, “Shame!” at her and labeling her a fascist pig over the separation of children from their illegal immigrant parents at the border. But it gets even worse… one of those thugs was Allison Hrabar, who just happens to work for the DOJ.
Joe Simonson at The Daily Caller is reporting on this. Members of the Washington, D.C. chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America crashed Nielsen’s meal with a demonstration full of chants and other outbursts. Hrabar is a paralegal specialist at the DOJ and was right in the thick of it. The unconventional demonstration inside downtown D.C.’s MXDC Cocina Mexicana featured about 10 minutes of chants that included “Kirstjen Nielsen, you’re a villain, locking up immigrant children,” after a tip from a fellow restaurant diner.
“A member got a text saying ‘Kirstjen Nielsen is eating nachos like ten feet from me,’” Allison Hrabar, a spokesperson for the Metro D.C. DSA told The Daily Beast. In less than 45 minutes, activists from the local chapter of Democratic Socialists of America brought together a dozen people to protest Nielsen, blasting out social media invites and emails to DSA and International Workers of the World members. Those are straight up communists.

“How can you enjoy a Mexican dinner as you’re deporting and imprisoning tens of thousands of people who come here seeking asylum in the United States?” a DSA member called to Nielsen in a video the group released of the confrontation. “We call on you to end family separation and abolish ICE.”
From The Daily Beast:
Nielsen continued to eat, surrounded by Secret Service. DSA members said she doesn’t deserve a peaceful dinner while presiding over family separations.
“While these children are not free, this administration can’t be allowed to enjoy a nice night out,” said Jesse Rabinowitz, a DSA member who attended the demonstration. “To me, the most powerful part was when we were able to use a speaker to play the audio of children being separated from their parents. What scared me the most was the lack of empathy or feeling that the secretary had. She just seemed cold.”
After video went viral Tuesday night, commenters blasted the demonstrators for disrupting dinner. But unfinished nachos are a small price to pay, DSA members said.
“Oppressed people have never been given their rights by asking politely,” Hrabar said. “Kirstjen Nielsen is not going to be convinced by us politely saying ‘could you maybe not separate children from their families? Could you maybe stop detaining and deporting migrants who have done nothing wrong?’”
“As someone who’s Jewish, I’ve been raised with this notion that this could happen again.” Rabinowitz said. “Never again means never again for anybody.”
He said a few dinner-goers disapproved of the demonstration. But other patrons got in on the chanting.
“If you ever wondered what you’d do in a civil rights movement, you’re doing it right now,” Hrabar said. “A lot of people started engaging. Some people started clapping with our chants. A couple people joined in, left their tables and stood up with us. On the way out, we got a lot of high fives from patrons and restaurant staff. I think the response in the restaurant was actually really heartening.”
One of the Democratic Socialists of America protesters who harassed Secretary Nielsen last night at dinner works for…the Department of Justice!

Someone who works for the Trump administration tipped The Daily Caller off to Hrabar’s presence there. I’m glad they did. The DOJ is not doing sufficient background checks and vetting their own people. If they did, they would not employ communists like Hrabar.
Hrabar defended her harassment of Nielsen, saying it was done on her own time and that it was her First Amendment right. Yeah, not so much. She signed a bunch of documents when she went to work at the DOJ that said she would not get involved in politics. Perhaps she forgot to read the fine print. That means she’s also a lousy paralegal. “If you see these people in public, you should remind them that they shouldn’t have peace,” she told The Washington Examiner. “We aren’t the only ones who can do this. Anyone who sees Kirstjen Nielsen at dinner, anyone who sees anyone who works at DHS and ICE at dinner can confront them like this, and that’s what we hope this will inspire people to do.”
Not only does she defend what she did, she’s lying. If you look at her Twitter account, @allisongeroi, she’s posting tweets during the workday openly celebrating her behavior Tuesday night. That should get her fired immediately. “Keeping families together in jail is not an acceptable solution,” Hrabar tweeted Wednesday afternoon at 1:56 PM. After the protest Tuesday night, she tweeted, “No one who has ever made their living terrorizing immigrants deserves peace. If you see one in a restaurant, at a movie, or in your neighborhood, remind them of that.” Spoken like a true revolutionary communist.
Hrabar said she would be willing to attend another restaurant protest, but that she hopes DSA’s example will inspire others. She said there are signs that’s happening. “A lot of people have been reaching out, either asking how we recognized her, or sending us places that they heard other people like to go. Downtown D.C. is crawling with bureaucrats,” Hrabar said. “I’m sure this will continue to happen in Metro Center, if I happen to be nearby. But these people don’t just live in D.C. When you confront [people with financial] capital — and a lot of people who live in D.C. work for powerful people — it can be kind of scary, but we think it’s important to put ourselves on the line,” Hrabar said.
This is just the latest incident in a series of anti-ICE demonstrations by leftist organizations in recent weeks. Per The Daily Beast, “Since Sunday, Portland, Oregon activists including members of the Portland DSA, the Direct Action Alliance, and the National Lawyers Guild have been set up camp outside a local ICE prison. The coalition blockaded the roads leading to the facility, preventing anyone from driving in or out. On Tuesday, after a standoff with protesters, every ICE employee except for one security guard left the building, Raw Story reported. The guard, told demonstrators that the facility was closing and that “it’s unknown when it will open.”” Okay, that was very skewed – they are not prisons and I have doubts about that report being legit, but you get the leftist drift here.
Hrabar said the D.C. DSA has been staging demonstrations outside the homes of prominent ICE and Trump administration officials for the past three months. And they are getting ready to step up their harassment regardless of what President Trump does. “Two weeks from now, we’ll be visiting another high-up Trump administration official at his home and telling him we’re not going to stand for this kind of policy or any detention and deportation of immigrants,” she said. It’s the communist way.
Comrade Hrabar has worked at the DOJ since July of 2016. Prior to that, she was a student at the selective Swarthmore College where tuition runs over $50,000 annually. She previously attended a charter school in Arizona. In 2017, the Metro DC Democratic Socialists of America Election Working Group finalized a 29 member convention delegate list. The list included Hrabar. Admins of the Metro D.C. Democratic Socialists of America, public Facebook group, as of March 12, 2017 included Allison Hrabar. So, she’s been with DSA for some time. The DOJ should have known that.
