The radical Islamic terrorist and “Known Wolf” Omar Mateen, 29, attempted to purchase “body armor” and “bulk ammunition” from a gun shop in Jensen Beach, Florida but was “turned away” two weeks before Mateen murdered 49 innocent souls and wounded more than 50 in a nightclub in Orlando. Store employees were suspicious and reported him to police.

ABC News reported that the local sheriff’s office “said they were unaware of the incident at the gun store and other local authorities, including the local FBI office, have not responded to ABC News’ requests for comment.”

Aside from the flags raised from the gun store employees a mere two weeks ago, Omar Mateen and his partner, 30-year-old Noor Salman were also reportedly “casing” Disney World in April.

CNN reported:

“Disney security officials told the FBI they believe he also visited Disney World on April 26 to conduct surveillance, the law enforcement official said.”

Also as tweeted by journalist Karla Ray:

The New York Times reported that the FBI investigated Omar Mateen for a 10-month span beginning in the spring of 2013, after his co-workers “reported that he had made incendiary comments claiming connections to overseas terrorists, including Al Qaeda and Hezbollah, saying he hoped that the F.B.I. would raid his family’s home so that he could ‘martyr’ himself.” But after an investigation, the FBI was “unable to determine that he had planned violence” and closed their investigation.

Two months later, in July 2014, the FBI again interviewed Mateen after his name surfaced “in connection with an investigation into a Florida man, Moner Mohammad Abusalha, who had gone to Syria and killed himself in a suicide bombing.” The FBI determined that while the two men “had attended the same mosque,” they “determined that his contacts with the suicide bomber were not significant.”

With all this in mind, Trevor Loudon asks a fair question:
