Danger: Ron Paul’s Naive Views on Iran and Cuba

Ron Paul at the Iowa Republican debates.

Rep. Paul, who is excellent on many other issues,  reveals both a shocking naivety regarding  Cuba and Iran, and a deep misunderstanding of the principles of free trade, when applied  to belligerent nations.

Florida Rep. Allen West has a much better grasp of these issues.

Ron Paul for Secretary of the Treasury. Allen West for Secretary of Defense or Commander-in-Chief.

  1. Thanks Melanie. Perceptive. the thing is i admire most of what paul stands for. i just think his defense and security views are naive and dangerous. Dont want to expose Ron Paul, but i cant let this stuff pass without challenge.

  2. It’s really interesting, Trevor. The comments I read following discussions of Ron Paul’s foreign policy ideas differ significantly from comments I read following an article about Obama’s links to Leftist radicals or articles on Agenda 21, etc.

    Fascinating. The tone changes completely.

I’m reminded of Milner’s Kindergarten and their elitist, oligarchical, highly-educated naivete.

    Dismaying — the anti-Semitic attitude.

  3. MY MY They have gone from the unelectable President line to all out attack, anyone know who this Trevor Loudon is and who he works for,Nah think i know,Same as the attackers,neo-con nwo zionists.Ron Paul for Prez 2012.

  4. Whose Iraq Predictions Have Come True?

    by Rep. Ron Paul
On Sept. 10, 2002, I asked 35 questions regarding war with Iraq. The war resolution passed on Oct. 16, 2002. Now today, as some of my colleagues try to reestablish credentials regarding spending restraint, I want to call attention to my 18th question from six years ago:

  5. Violence can only be concealed by a lie, and the lie can only be maintained by violence.
    ~Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

  6. George Washington in his second farewell address agrees with no other that Ron Paul. Pretty good company I would say. International neutrality (somewhat like Switzerland) is not isolationism. Everyone who disagrees with Mr. Paul should show me proof of how well our current foreign policies are working and the benefits out-weight the Costs.

  7. Why all the comments are from zionists extremists who consider all the planet as ennemies ?
This fake blog is as much of a fraud than the mainstream medias, you are serving your gods from the new world order. You shall all burn in hell for eternity, unless you repent and stop spraying lies all over the place.

    1. Oh, this is great. Referencing a “former” left winger, David Horowitz of all people, the supreme example of a neocon and devout Zionist. Lets see, this was a “Bush policy” enacted in 2001, right? Just like Obama atrocious policies during his adminstration. Since when does one congressman deny the White House whatever it wants to do. Where were your neocon friends like McCain, Perry, Bachmann, Gingrich, et. all when Bush and Obama enacted policies that you dislike?

Tries some facts to bring to the table. Try refuting what I stated above. No, you prefer to rant. Really smart.

B-t-W, second generation American, father and father-in-law fought in WWII. Where do you get off your personal invectives?

  8. Paul is not only a fraud but a liar. He sat in congress 35 years and what haas he ever done but suck up pork for his area. He is a liar about Cuba too…”according to figures from the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. has transacted almost $4 billion in trade with Cuba over the past decade. Up until two years ago the U.S. served as Stalinist Cuba’s biggest food supplier and fifth biggest import partner” and “For over a decade, the so-called U.S. embargo has merely stipulated that Castro’s Stalinist regime pay cash up front through a third–party bank for all U.S. agricultural products; no Ex-Im (U.S. taxpayer) f…inancing of such sales. (You’d really, really think a libertarian would approve of this.) Enacted by the Bush team in 2001, this cash-up-front policy has kept the U.S. taxpayer among the few in the world not screwed and tattooed by Fidel Castro. Here are a few other items candidate Paul might keep in mind before any campaign stops (especially in Florida)”…Your Paul voted on this…or is he so senile he doesn’t remember it…you Paulistinians really need to learn about your massiah just as much as Obamamaniacs do about theirs…Sorry for the Rant Trevor…

  9. Once a neocon, always a neocon. Go ahead and castigate Ron Paul a “dangerous”. You don’t get it. Why do the military servicemen overwhelming support and send contributions to Paul’s campaign? What part of the USA as a nation going broke do you not understand? Does the USA need hundreds of military bases? The USA’s defense (that’s a laugh) budget is greater than the next 5 countries combined. It is about time the president of the USA put the onus on Congress to declare who are enemy is due to a “near and present danger”, not some argumentative assertion that the bankers, NWO and neocons rave about. Iran has Hezbollah as terrorists, so what? They may or may not have nukes, so what. Israel is purported to have hundreds of nukes (we gave them the fissionable materials) and could obliterate Iran in a heartbeat. Speaking of terrorism, the USA is “terrorized” by AIPAC. Follow the money. Where do the banks and the financial institutions put their money. Why did Schiff and other so-called capitalist bankers financed Trotsky and the communist revolution in Russia? Ever read Smedley Butler’s War is a Racket or Dr. Anthony Sutton’s books on how wall street financed Stalin, Hitler, etc.

I am sick and tired of seeing our young men die for such evil people. I am disgusted by the cabal of greedy bankers and politicians stealing billions and billions of US taxpayer dollars (go read the recent GAO audit report on the Federal Reserve). Ron Paul is the only candidate that understand the underpinning of bankster financing war and revolution and the NWO and is willing to risk his neck to fight them. God protect him.

      1. William, You wrote “Iran has fully functional nuclear weaponry AND the will to use them in a full offensive capacity” which is just more propaganda from the Israeli controlled US CIA military industrial complex to justify an invasion of Iran!
William, Do you remember this from 1990? The great Iraq War lie, the pictured girl told the world under tears that she saw how Saddam Hussein’s soldiers took babies out of their incubators and let them die on the cold floor.
In November 1990 Bush41 told this lie to the poor soldiers,
in truth she hadn’t been in Kuwait at the time, the girl was in fact the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador in Washington, USA.
Also do you remember the massive WMD and biological weapons lie and deception that was used as a reason to invade Iraq after 9/11 just more propaganda, if you do some research on a man called Dr David Kelly who was a biological weapons expert who went to Iraq over 20 times and told Blair and others that Saddam Hussein did not have any of the things that America and Israel said he had, and most people do not realize by speaking out it cost Dr Kelly his life! these Zionists just keep using the ol’ Problem-Reaction-Solution theory over and over again!
