Aerial Bombing, No Longer an Act of War

Welcome to a whole string of kinetic military actions employed through the Responsibility to Protect Doctrine of the Obama Administration. You know, where aerial bombing of a country is no longer considered an act of war. It’s humanitarian don’tcha know…

And Congress is now totally useless in fact and deed. The official deadline for the War Powers Resolution came and went with minor protests and a President flipping them off telling the US that this really isn’t a war, no matter what it looks like. And watch the Progressives line up to defend the Dictator-In-Chief and his Constitutional violations. Of course most of the media tags along with implicit support for whatever Obama the Marxist approves, much like the military and press did in Nazi Germany.

Right now we have a troops in harm’s way in the following conflicts:

  • Iraq
  • Afghanistan
  • Libya
  • Pakistan
  • Yemen
  • Somalia (Corrected from the Sudan – thanks to a commenter.)

And Syria waiting in the wings, with Israel for desert.

It isn’t just that this administration is providing ‘limited’ military intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR) and tanker support to NATO forces on Libya – although that is what they are claiming. Nope… Since March 31st, we have flown hundreds of strike sorties over Libya and those pesky rumors of boots on the ground are still floating around.

From AirForceTimes:

The White House declined to comment on how 801 strike sorties constitutes “limited” involvement, but Harold Koh, a State Department legal adviser, said in testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday that “when U.S forces engage in a limited military mission, that involves limited exposure for U.S. troops, and limited risk of serious escalation, and employs limited military means, we are not in the kind of hostilities of the kind envisioned by the War Powers Resolution.”

He said there have been “no active exchanges of fire with hostile forces” despite AFRICOM’s statement that weapons had been dropped during 132 sorties.

801 strike sorties? You call that limited? And Koh is a Marxist of the first order, so you just know you can believe him when he says it doesn’t violate the War Powers Resolution – not. Just how long do we, as a nation, allow a rogue President to conduct military actions wherever and however he chooses? Will no one stand up and actually do something in our government? Or are you guys pretty much okay with a dictatorship? Just asking…

And while Obama says all this fuss is just about politics and that he doesn’t know if the War Powers Resolution is constitutional, don’t you think Congress should do their damn job and ensure that Constitution is adhered to? Or is that too much like real work? I guess it doesn’t fit in with their Marxist/elitist plans… And since when is it Obama’s place to decide on the constitutionality of the War Powers Resolution or any other law? Seems to me he is saying, “Screw it, I don’t like the law and therefore I don’t have to obey it.” I don’t think we would be given equal consideration if we decided to interpret the law in that fashion, do you?

From CNS News:

“There may be a time in which there was a serious question as to whether the War Powers Resolution was constitutional. I don’t have to get to the question,” Obama said during a White House news conference Wednesday.

“We have engaged in a limited operation to help a lot of people against one of the worst tyrants in the world, somebody who nobody should want to defend. And we should be sending out a unified message to this guy that he should step down and give his people a fair chance to live their lives,” Obama added.

I supported going into Iraq. They were out to hurt the US. I was also for Afghanistan because they were the breeding ground for the Taliban. Now, we cozy up to the Taliban and make deals with them. And in both conflicts (because they were never actually declared wars), we did not let our troops fully do their jobs, which is kill the enemy, break things and come home. Now, I think we should bring them home – because what our government is doing is getting them killed and is setting them up to be slaughtered. They are virtually surrounded by the enemy in the Middle East now and we are playing diplomatic word games. After all, it’s not like our politicians have their asses on the front line, is it?

As for Libya, yep, Moammar Gadhafi is an evil son-of-a-bitch that needs to die. But Libya was not a threat to us. You talk about nation building… Going into a foreign country when it has nothing to do with you and causing a civil war while bombing the crap out of them is war pure and simple. Now we are using drones to bomb in Yemen and the Somalia for the same reasons.

Let me tell you what I believe and you can take it for what it is worth. I believe all of this is to bankrupt the US and bring her to the same level as all the other god-forsaken hellholes on the planet so she will be more easily ‘ruled.’ I believe all of this is to set precedent for attacking Israel while claiming that we aren’t – but you know Israel just wouldn’t play nice and the US could not get involved. Any excuse to see Israel destroyed, so the Middle East can swallow her up and plunge the world into a new dark age. Then onto the Great Satan.

Obama claims he has consulted with Congress over all this. Bull crap. His idea of consulting Congress is telling them how it will be, so shut up and sit down. I ask you, America, when will we find our voices and say that’s enough? The next election is great, but Obama is doing so much damage we may not have that long. If you have the ear of a politician, I suggest you get him or her to stand up and soon, before Responsibility to Protect is brought home to America and implemented. Coming to a border near you.

  1. What about Somalia?
    July 2, 2011
US military forces landed in Somalia to retrieve the bodies of dead or wounded militants after a US drone strike targeted a group of insurgents, Somalia’s defense minister told The Associated Press on Friday.

The operation is at least the second time US troops have landed in Somalia after a targeted strike, though no forces have been stationed there since shortly after the “Black Hawk Down” battle that left 18 Americans dead in 1993.

  2. President Obama is a blundering amateur who has no idea of what he is doing.

In my humble opinion, the most dangerous people are not those who don’t know what they are doing, it is those people who don’t know that they don’t know what they are doing. And Mr Obama fits into the second category.

    1. NZKiwi:

Perfect example indeed, just as the old proverb of “Who is the more foolish, the fool or the one who follows the fool?”

Events are spinning out of control for Mr Obama, and while he may be a fool, and Biden most definitly acts like one, they are still incredibly dangerous.

I have to disagree in part about Obama not knowing that he does not know what he is doing; in the fundamental destruction of the land, in all areas, he is pushing more and more pressure on the systems and waiting for it to come down.

In that regard he DOES know what he is doing.

As for the involvment in so many areas overseas, especially in Libya and Yemen, where more and more airstrikes are being carried out by US forces – information directly from the USAF publications verified that – he is deliberatly stretching our military to the breaking point for the final dismembering and gutting of a great force of patriots.

The main things to be waiting for now are thus:

Who of his cronies or radical allies will turn on him first…
Will America hold togeather until he is out of office…
Will America be able to pull itself back togeather again too…

Look to the Muslum Brotherhood or Libya (Quaddafi) to be the first ones to strike hard at the US mainland. Figure by the end of the summer if anything is going to happen, and not like the 9/11 style of attacks either; it will be something unique.

Imagine if say, the floor of the Dow Jones was hit or even nearly hit (a fake bomb discovered); what would the panic do to the world and the nation?

      1. Hi Snow,

“Who of his cronies or radical allies will turn on him first…
Will America hold togeather until he is out of office…
Will America be able to pull itself back togeather again too…”

        Yes and yes.

I have the utmost faith in America and Americans. Not that your nation doesn’t stub its toe from time to time, but its inate honour, openess, and sense of integrity will continue to protect it.

To your other points; I find it hard to believe that Mr Obama is that malignant – though he certainly manages to appear that way.

      2. William, I found these video in regards to Gaddafi and Libya, and when you think about what we’re been told about Gaddafi by the meadia, one only has to think back in the 1990 we were told ‘The great Iraq War lie’ the girl told the world under tears that she saw how Saddam Hussein’s soldiers took babies out of their incubators and let them die on the cold floor Bush told this lie to the poor soldiers, and later we found out
that she hadn’t been in Kuwait at the time, the girl was in fact the daughter of the Kuwaiti ambassador in Washington USA!
See we were told it is about protecting civilians in Libya, others say it is about oil, but some are convinced intervention in Libya is all about Gaddafi’s plan to introduce the gold dinar, a single African currency made from gold, a true sharing of the wealth.
“It’s one of these things that you have to plan almost in secret, because as soon as you say you’re going to change over from the dollar to something else, you’re going to be targeted,” says Ministry of Peace founder Dr James Thring. “There were two conferences on this, in 1986 and 2000, organized by Gaddafi. Everybody was interested, most countries in Africa were keen.”
This is something I didn’t know about Gaddafi!

    2. People should watch this film “Rothschild’s Choice: Barack Obama and the Hidden Cabal Behind the Plot to Murder America” this will explain a lot of what is happening with this Obama!

  3. “I believe all of this is to bankrupt the US.”
I’m thinking this too. I don’t really see any other conclusion that makes sense. Kinda makes me wonder about that “reset” (overload) button that Clinton gave the Russian (or is it still Soviet) foreign minister. Watch the video. She asks him, “we worked very hard to get this translation right. Do you think we got it?” It’s possible it was an accident. But come on, reset isn’t a complex idea–not difficult to translate. Makes me think of Anatoliy Golitsyn.

    1. I of course don’t mean the one about the Rothschilds. Google: “Hillary rest button.” You’ll find the video.

Also like in that movie ‘The Obama Deception’ The film argues that American presidents since the 1960s have served as “front men” for entities such as the Council on Foreign Relations, Trilateral Commission, Bilderberg Group, Wall Street banks, the Federal Reserve, the Military-industrial complex and others, arguing that multinational corporations and powerful elite families, such as the Rothschild family and Rockefeller family hold the real “power behind the throne.” The documentary claims the main motive of these groups is to set up a New World Order where offshore banks subversively engage in the looting of the wealth of the American people.[3] The documentary primarily focuses on American president Barack Obama and his actions during his young presidency. However, it also discusses John F. Kennedy, George H. W. Bush, and the George W. Bush administration.
