One Step Backwards, Two Steps Forwards?

Nick Kelly of the Marxist-Leninist, Workers Party has lost the Victoria University Students Association presidency race to Young Labour exec member, Geoff Hayward, by 313 votes to 472.

The other Workers Party member in the election, Joel Cosgrove has handily beaten No Confidence by 629 to 419 votes to secure next year’s Education vice-presidency.

Joel Cosgrove’s girlfriend, Heleyni Pratley secured the Welfare vice presidency with 398 votes, beating her nearest rival, Anna Duggan by 10 votes.

That’s Leninist politics for you. One step backwards, two steps forwards.
