Vietnam and China Confirm Communist Commitment

Many western commentators make the big mistake of assuming that because a communist government adopts capitalist economic methods, that country must be on the road to “democracy”.

Unfortunately this is not the case.

Marxist-Leninist theorists readily acknowledge the productive power of capitalism and will use it as suits on the road to socialism.

Especially in the third world-China,Vietnam, Nepal, Laos etc, local communist parties openly promote capitalist methods as a means of generating wealth to lift their country’s wealth-and military and economic power.

Mark my words-Cuba is about to go down the same road.

Naive westerners think that the socialists have woken up. They think that “democracy” is on the way. Dreamers-I own a tower in Paris you lot may like to buy.

The Communist Party of the Russian Federation has just held its 13th Congress in Moscow. Delegates attended from all over the world including from “capitalist” Vietnam and China.

From the Communist Party of Vietnam online newspaper.

The 13th Congress of the Communist Party of Russia (KPRF) opened in Moscow on November 29 with the participation of over 1,000 delegates and representatives of more than 80 international delegations, including Vietnam.

In the political report, KPRF Chairman Gennadi Zyuganov reviewed the progress made by the Party in the previous term, regarding the number of Party members, political struggles, relations with other parties and external activities.

Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi, who led the Vietnamese delegation, highlighted solidarity between Vietnam and the former Soviet Union and the present Russian Federation. He expressed his belief that the Russian communists’ struggle for socialism will end in success.

Mr Nghi also spoke of the great achievements made by the Vietnamese people over the past years under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, noting that the achievements are the result of the party’s loyalty to Marxist-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh’s Thought.

The Communist Party of China (CPC) values the friendly relations with the Communist Party of Russia and will constantly promote bilateral ties by adhering to existing principles, a senior CPC official said.

Wu Zhenjun, a CPC representative for the Russian party’s national congress held in Moscow over the weekend, made the remarks during a meeting with Gennady Zyuganov, chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Russia.

The CPC Central Committee has sent a congratulation letter to the congress and hailed Zyuganov’s re-election as chairman.

Zyuganov spoke highly of the relationship between the two parties and the two countries, pledging further efforts to develop bilateral ties.

Sound like Vietnam and China are ready to embrace western “liberal democracy” to you?
