Trevor Loudon’s predictions for tonight’s Iowa Caucuses

trokoThe big night is here.

We’ve been living in Iowa for the last several months, watching intently as all the serious Presidential candidates court the wonderful people of the Hawkeye state.

We’ve attended meetings all over Iowa, met several of the candidates, and we’re off to the local Junior High to observe a  Caucus tonight.

Here’s my prediction for the vote tonight based on my contact with people on the ground, the weather forecast ( a mighty blizzard on the way) and a little bit of intuition.

  • Ted Cruz 29%
  • Donald Trump 22%
  •  Marco Rubio 14%
  • Ben Carson 8%
  • Rand Paul 7%
  • Jeb Bush 5%
  • Chris Christie 4%
  • Carly Fiorina 3%
  • Mike Huckabee 3%
  • Rick Jantorum 2%
  • John Kasich 2%
  • Jim Gilmore 1%

I’m predicting a good win for Ted Cruz against Donald Trump, based on the momentum I’ve observed the last three days. Up for Cruz, down for Trump. Cruz’s ground game is by far the the best on the GOP side, which will be critical given the looming blizzard. Cruz’s enthusiasm factor has been growing strongly in the last few days. Dr. Ben Carson’s vote has largely collapsed towards Cruz. The same was happening with Rand Paul’s vote, but a very late endorsement by Senator Chuck Grassley may help him a little.

Let’s see if ‘m right. There is so much riding on this..not just for United States, but for every Western nation.

I hope Iowa voters  choose Cruz and the Constitution tonight.

  1. Lisa..You completely misunderstand Cruz, He is the anti-establishment guy..Trump will do deals. Cruz will not. Lets see what the people say tonight.

    1. Being anti-establishment and anti-gop our people can’t accept a true conservative like TED CRUZ. WHY ARE WE SO UNINFORMED in a computer age?

    1. I kinda forgot about Carson, but I also sorta thought his vote would deteriorate more than it has. Maybe there a lot of Second Day Adventists in Iowa, frankly. 🙂 Also healthcare professionals, semi-pacifists, blacks…. and just people that like him!

  2. If we get a guy like Ted Cruz into the Presidency all of the attacks against the conservatives will change. We will be returned to constitutional ideals. He will eliminate all of Obamas executive orders and regulations that are strangling the economy. Cruz is not your ordinary republican! And he doesnt have the narcissistic problems of a Trump. He is our last best hope to restore our freedoms. Vote Ted Cruz!

  3. And I predict a Trump win. I’ll be “happy as” with a Trump presidency.

You are right though, this is a CRITICAL election year. But you have chosen the wrong horse to back.

This elections is about We The People vs The Establishment. First time Senator with dodgy Canadian background Cruz has NOT proved himself with his alignment with McConnell, taking big bank money (and lying about it), voting for Corker, H1B. ETC.

CRUZ GOES ALONG WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT.

A BORDER WALL MUST BE BUILT and yes, illegals must be SENT BACK, or there will be no more USA. Period. It is worth fighting for and I stand with Trump.

    Remember:

    • Did the GOP secure the border with control of the White House and Congress? NO.
    • Did the GOP balance the budget with control of the White House and Congress? NO.

    • Who gave us the TSA? The GOP
    • Who gave us the Patriot Act? The GOP
    • Who expanded Medicare to include prescription drug coverage? The GOP
    • Who created the precursor of “Common Core” in “Race To the Top”? The GOP

    • Who played the race card in Mississippi to re-elect Thad Cochran? The GOP
    • Who paid Democrats to vote in the Mississippi primary? The GOP
    • Who refused to support Ken Cuccinnelli in Virginia? The GOP

    • Who supported Charlie Crist? The GOP
    • Who supported Arlen Spector? The GOP
    • Who supported Bob Bennett? The GOP

    • Who worked against Marco Rubio? The GOP
    • Who worked against Rand Paul? The GOP
    • Who worked against Ted Cruz? The GOP
    • Who worked against Mike Lee? The GOP
    • Who worked against Jim DeMint? The GOP
    • Who worked against Ronald Reagan? The GOP

    • Who said “I think we are going to crush [the Tea Party] everywhere.”? The GOP (McConnell)

    (wake up Cruz backers…..)

    1. “‘Cruz has NOT proved himself with his alignment with McConnell”

That was a joke right? The GOPe hates Cruz so much they’re now supporting Trump over him. Anyone who wants to stick it to them as badly as I do should vote for the guy who called Mitch McConnell a liar to his face on the Senate floor — not the guy who contributed $60,000 to McConnell’s re-election campaign.

    2. Oh, people who support Cruz are very much awake….and many certainly will not vote for Trump!
Trump, with the highest unfavorable ratings of any other candidate.
Trump, the only candidate who loses in head to head match ups with both Hillary and Bernie. Both Cruz and Rubio beat Hillary.
Trump, who is the ultimate RINO, with his social issue and policy positions.
Trump, who says himself, that he has always been part of the establishment.

Supporting Trump is like saying you hate the GOPe while giving money to them.

    3. Trump says all the things people want to hear but how will he conduct business in the oval office…essentially hinting at a pen and a phone like he has done his entire life….he makes no reference to the Constitution..he like Obama I think will abuse executive powers. Hear Senator Sasse of Nebraska’s dire warning of unchecked executive power on Utube….its as if the electorate do not care anymore so long as their guy gets in. No wonder Rand Paul is marginalized. The theme of make America great is not that new if we go back to FDR.Trump resonates because he is saying politically incorrect things with some common sense but some predict his attempt to reform the welfare state will doom his campaign….the last two elections have proven Cloward/Piven entitlement strategy is fully entrenched…..Cruz knows better also that amnesty will super doom us because these people vote and Trevor has been working very hard to support a candidate who knows this amnesty issue could finish us off with a one party state in another election cycle…we can vote this in but we cant vote it out. We need principled leaders….not populists…but really there is so little difference between the two parties anymore like you pointed out I dont see getting this ship turned around….America has lost her moral compass through subversion. Trevor speaks like no one else I have heard and after watching documentaries on WWII his warnings are surreal. Well…these are just my thoughts..as a Christian I believe whomever or whatever God sovereignly allows will be for a holy purpose as we see throughout Biblical history and the future foretold will be no different. P.S. I dont mind a Reganesque (sp) comparison but Cruz’s rhetoric re glowing sand bothers me…candidates have to remember what Eisenhower said about the military industrial complex which probably created ISIS. Oh, one final thought…Cruz knows the Constitution and Trump seems ignorant..how can he take an oath of office. Just saying.

    4. Stop the lies……Cruz is definitely not part of the establishment as he works against their agenda constantly……..however, trump is now saying he will deal with whomever to get it done….that is why we are in this mess in the first place…….trump has proven and said over the years, who he really is…….we can see by his actions………and we are not blind……trump also calls those who disagree with him, names….how very mature and cohesive……..he is no better than the hateful narcissist in the wh now.

    5. Cruz the Cuban candidate running for President illegally is Obama 2.0.
He is not even a Citizen. There is no “Naturalization by Birth” or every anchor baby in the United States would be considered a “Citizen” of the United States.
Ted Cruz is a man without a Country & Citizenship. Period.

    6. You are a very misinformed supporter of Trump. Do your homework before making allegations that are completely false. I highly recommend you study what constitutes a natural born citizen, secondly you need to find out exactly who aligned himself with Mitch McConnell, who is the true conservative, on and on. Ted Cruz is the only one who stayed true to his constituency, he did what he promised to do. Please don’t go by here say, do your own research before you toss allegations that have no basis nor are they justified. For your information the person aligned with big banks is Donald Trump he owes millions and millions of dollars to the banks. He has a huge loan from Goldman Sachs and he also sits on the board of Goldman Sachs, so tell me who is taking big money from the banks.
Ted Cruz is an honest man you can trust and he deserves your respect.

    7. Trump just experienced the 1st of his big losses tonight and those who hang by his side will go down with him.

      1. When Cruz gave his victory speech, what a true patriot! First he gave glory to God and the lifted the cry of liberty residing in “We the people.”
