Not all votes by a representative will please all people (even That Representative). You look for someone who BEST compares to what you want the Government to be. Then you look for character.
LTC West says all the right things, BUT, he has a mediocre record of budget cutting votes. He voted for Obamacare funds for FL schools. He voted for NDAA — which says the govt can SNATCH U.S. CITIZENS off the streets without explanation, notification (of family) or legal representation. He also voted for the Pigford reparations — paying racial grievances to non-farming black farmers.
He sure seems like a good guy, but I always keep the above in mind.
