It appears there may be some sense and fortitude in the GOP Caucus of the House of Representatives, when it comes to the globalist machine that is the United Nations — and when it comes to the divinely established, ancient nation of Israel.

This, about Ileana Ros-Lehtinen is from Big Peace.

Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) is the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and she has drawn a line in the sand for the United States.  She has introduced a bill which would dramatically cut U.S. contributions to the United Nations if that body votes for Palestinian statehood next month.  ”Chairman Ros-Lehtinen felt it was important to introduce the bill, which includes a title withholding U.S. funding to UN entities which upgrade the status of the Palestinian mission,  in advance of the Palestinian Authority’s statehood push at the UN,”  her spokesman told Foreign Policy.  Democrats in the House,  reports Foreign Policy,  are opposed to the bill.

    1. I was looking for online articles about defunding Israel when I came across this page. Backwards, seems to me too.

  1. Let the battle begin, the democrats will not go for this, especially the Progressives; it is great to see that there still is some common sense and guts in the House, and let the bill be passed in the House, while it is a great chance the Senate will either up and table it or if it passes there, Obama will veto it instantly.

    1. It really isn’t up to the Senate or Obama. It is the house of representatives that is charged with determining this nations funding. IF they stick to their guns, they absolutely could pull this off alone. The only real question is how many members of the house, under the immense political pressure that would ensue, would deem this particular issue important enough to follow through on. My guess is not enough.

  2. Defunding of the UN would be great and charge them rent for the building they use and the utilities they take up if they want to stay here. Also, wiretap every phone they have and all their email etc.

  3. BS”D

Hit ’em where it hurts – their pocketbook. You want to live off of us? Dance to the right tune. They should have US funding drastically decreased in the first place, for all the mischief they promote, and the lack of actual good they do. Each country should have an additional “property tax” for utilizing New York real estate.

  4. Thank goodness someone has the guts to do this! UN should be defunded anyway and sent packing. Let them try to survive without the United States support. Thank you for standing up to them.
