Savannah Guthrie, Her Missing Mom, and QAnon

By Cliff Kincaid

Back in 2020, Savannah Guthrie of NBC News asked President Trump during a televised town hall about the belief by some of his supporters in “a satanic pedophile ring” operating behind the scenes. She seemed shocked by the claim. Do you think she has had second thoughts?

Marxists at Jacobin magazine said the notion that Donald Trump was fighting a satanic pedophile cabal was a QAnon conspiracy theory.

It’s clear that the media, despite what we know about the Epstein pedophile network, did not believe there was something evil or Satanic going on. Guthrie was a skeptic.

At the time, the media shared her skepticism and turned the exchange into an attack on Trump. Here are the headlines from that time:

  • Trump again refuses to denounce QAnon (CNN).
  • Trump refuses to denounce right-wing conspiracy group QAnon (CBS News).
  • Moderator Savannah Guthrie hailed for keeping Trump in check at town hall (The British Guardian).
  • At Last Night’s Town Hall, Savannah Guthrie Stepped Up to the Plate (Vogue).
  • ‘You’re not someone’s crazy uncle’: Guthrie challenges Trump on conspiracy theory retweets (USA Today).

Here’s the exchange from 2020:

“Savannah Guthrie: Let me ask you about QAnon. It is this theory that Democrats are a Satanic pedophile ring and that you are the savior of that. Now, can you just once and for all state that that is completely not true and disavow QAnon in its entirety?

“Trump: I know nothing about QAnon —

“Guthrie: I just told you.

“Trump: You told me. But what you tell me doesn’t necessarily make it fact, I hate to say that. I know nothing about it. I do know they are very much against pedophilia. They fight it very hard, but I know nothing about it. If you’d like me to —

“Guthrie: They believe it is a Satanic cult run by the ‘deep state.’

“Trump: — study the subject. I’ll tell you what I do know about: I know about Antifa, and I know about the radical left. And I know how violent they are and how vicious they are. And I know how they’re burning down cities run by Democrats, not run by Republicans.”

QAnon is still considered a nutty idea, as personified by the New Age “QAnon Shaman” who was involved in the January 6 pro-Trump demonstration at the national Capitol (and has now turned against Trump).

But now we can all see the evidence of what could turn out to be “a satanic pedophile ring,” complete with code words and reports of Epstein being the subject of a DEA probe that spanned at least 5 years.

Clearly, more investigation and disclosure are needed.

Having been around for decades, I remember a similar scandal that evaporated from public view back in the 1980s.

I have assembled several stories from that time period under the headline, “The Strangely Disappearing D.C. Homosexual Prostitution Ring Story,” for your consideration. The great conservative journalist Alan Stang described this as one of the biggest scandals — and biggest stories — in the history of this country because it made Watergate look like two-bit shoplifting.

But it was completely squelched, even after the ringleader, Craig Spence, conveniently turned up dead — allegedly of “suicide” — in a Boston hotel room five months later.

The questions at the time: Did he decide to kill himself after somebody from Washington paid him a visit? Or did somebody from Washington “suicide” him?

Epstein, a member of such groups as the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission, was said to have sex videos of America’s elites for blackmail purposes. He ended up dead as well.

Rep. Nancy Mace says, “We’re calling on the Central Intelligence Agency to allow us to view any and all records, documents, photos, videos, passports, and other materials they may have in their possession relating to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.”

“Where Are ALL the Videos?” she asks.

In April, Attorney General Pam Bondi said the Trump administration found “tens of thousands of videos” depicting Jeffrey Epstein “with children or child porn.”

Where are they? Where is Nancy Guthrie?

If the United States can help Mexico locate and kill a drug cartel leader, why can’t we find Nancy Guthrie?

One assumes that American intelligence assets ARE being used in this search. Still, more than four weeks after Nancy Guthrie became a missing person, the FBI reportedly contacted Mexican authorities for help.

A Milwaukee attorney is offering a $100,000 Crime Stoppers reward for the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie because of the lack of progress. And Savannah Guthrie’s family is offering a $1 million reward for her mother’s disappearance.

We can’t rule out an organized conspiracy to take her. Can we?
