The House that Trump Built

I hope you heard about another piece of extremely good news, as a result of President Trump’s foreign policy. The United Nations, otherwise known as “The House That Hiss Built,” named after Soviet spy Alger Hiss, is on the verge of collapse. It is being replaced by “The House That Trump Built” – the Board of Peace.

These are amazing times we are living in, and a great goal of many constitutional conservatives — the destruction of the United Nations — is upon us.

Thank you, Mr. President.

Look at the headlines:

  • United Nations faces ‘imminent financial collapse’ without urgent action, UN chief says. (ABC).
  • UN risks ‘imminent financial collapse’, secretary general warns. (BBC).
  • (UN Secretary-General) Guterres warns of the UN’s ‘imminent financial collapse’ (Reuters).
  • N. Says It’s in Danger of Financial Collapse Because of Members’ Unpaid Dues. (New York Times).

This is something to celebrate. President Trump has withdrawn the United States from dozens of U.N. Agencies and has established a “Board of Peace” to do the work the United Nations hasn’t done.

U.N. Secretary-General Guterres is a former head of the Socialist International, a worldwide group with “consultative status” with the United Nations that promises “Progressive politics for a fairer world.”

He is now claiming, with the support of outlets like Associated Press and  Politico, that the United States “owes” the U.N. billions. This is a lie. In fact, as I documented years ago, the world body doesn’t give the U.S. credit for various forms of international assistance.

Soviet spy Alger Hiss, a State Department official, became the first acting secretary-general of the United Nations, causing it to be dubbed “The House that Hiss Built.” He also advised President Franklin Roosevelt at the Yalta conference, which defined post-World War II Europe and betrayed Eastern European nations to Soviet control.

In addition to its corruption and failures, the U.N.’s so-called “special rapporteur” has meddled in U.S. affairs, most recently by endorsing Sleepy Joe Biden’s presidential clemency for Leonard Peltier, an American Indian activist who was convicted of the execution-style murders of FBI Special Agents Jack Coler and Ronald Williams.

I have been warning about the anti-Americanism of the United Nations for 30 years, first in my book, Global Bondage: The U.N. Plan to Rule the World, and two years later, Global Taxes for World Government.

But we now need the president to go one step further, to propose a complete withdrawal from the United Nations.

Opposition is coming not only from the U.N. but the Vatican, for its Secretary of State declared it will NOT be joining the Board of Peace because “at the international level it should above all be the U.N. that manages these crisis situations.”

The U.N. is collapsing because it has been a failure.

The “Western Alliance” is already collapsing as well, as our “allies” show their true colors on the global stage, demonstrating the need for an America First strategy.

The founder and president of the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF), Robert D. Atkinson, has written a column that puts the global situation in the proper context, by noting that so-called “allied leaders” such as Mark Carney of Canada have “revealed their true colors” by going soft on Communist China.

He writes, “They are turning tail to pursue their nations’ own short-term interests with the PRC, while having the audacity to frame America as ‘the main enemy.’ Beijing could not be happier.” He cites Carney’s speech at Davos.

I was struck by his reference to Canada and other nations regarding the USA as the “Main Enemy,” since that is how the Soviet KGB regarded America. Could it be that our “allies” are the problem and that their anti-Americanism is coming to the surface in terms of trade relations and international affairs?

He contends that “most purported allies are now tripping over themselves to cut deals with the Chinese Communist Party.”

These “allies” are upset and getting into bed with China because Trump has reasserted American dominance and has used tariffs to achieve that goal. In short, he is stopping the practice of these allies taking advantage of America.

“For decades,” he notes, “the United States served as the world’s consumer market, running massive trade deficits and hollowing out its own manufacturing base. Much of this was driven by foreign protectionism, compounded by the fact that the dollar serves as the world’s reserve currency, a status that significantly benefits foreign exporters.”

In other words, these “allies” protected their own economies while looting ours. When Trump objects, these “allies” blame him for upsetting the “world order” and embrace China.

Referring to Carney of Canada, Macron of France, and Merz of Germany, he writes that “these ‘leaders’ are not partners; they are supplicants, hoping [Chinese dictator] Xi will refrain from punishing their countries and perhaps allow them to sell a few more goods in China, even as China eats their domestic industries alive.”

Under Trump, things have changed for the better. He notes, “U.S. voters, exhausted by bearing the burdens of global leadership while so-called allies ran massive surpluses and free-riding on American security, elected Donald Trump twice.” And when Trump went to Davos, he arrived with a relatively simple message: “Enough. Cut the nonsense, or you’re on your own.” They fled to China, showing their true colors.

We now understand they regard the USA as the “main enemy.” It’s good to know.

The “allies” operate under the banner, “Let the Yanks bleed and pay, even as we insult and undermine them for doing it.”

He explains, “The reality is that America did bear the burden. It defended Europe, Japan, and Korea from the threat of communism. And now those same allies run to align with a Marxist-Leninist adversary so they can sell a few more commodities, even if hollowing out their auto industries is part of the bargain (cough, cough, Canada).”

In other words, their anti-Americanism will come back to bite them, but after America under Trump came to an awakening about its own national interest. That’s why, in my opinion, Trump is another Reagan, for Trump has an instinctive anti-communism that serves America well in this “world order” dominated by the USA now taking shape.

If our allies stick with China, they will suffer and perhaps come to an eventual awakening as well, or they may become full-fledged Chinese colonies. In any case, it’s not Trump’s fault, and we Americans have nothing to be ashamed of. Our President, after all, was elected to represent us, not Carney, Macron, or Merz.

It’s possible, of course, that the “allies” can come to their senses. At the Munich Security Conference, Secretary of State Marco Rubio pleaded for them to wake up to the dangers of Russia and illegal immigration.

Meanwhile, the Vatican pleads for the survival of the United Nations from within its over 10-foot-high Vatican walls.
