So glad this man got elected.

  1. Gob bless America and
Col West!!!!!!!!!!! Are there any more out there like him and where can I send contribution to keep him in office—-elect him President next term!!!

  2. So, why is he being "squashed" by the media and not held up to compare or better Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin and the other possible candidates? I'm all for a Stand-up guy ie: soldier/Officer/real hero who can lead our country but why doesn't John McCain endorse him? Something's amiss here and I think Obama's scared of him. As well he should be! Seeing as how Obama won't admit to his "Muslimness"!!!

  3. Col. West , may God bless you and I hope to see and hear more from you in the near future – I applaud your integrity, honesty and bluntness (it is refreshing) and I agree ,lets stop "pussy" footing around these cowards and grant themt their supreme wish to join Allah .. Amen and God bless you Col West!!! you have my vote, you sound like a great man

  4. That's what makes this country so great. When you absolutely need someone great, one always comes by.
This guy is something.I can't wait to vote for him.

    Rocco

  5. He sounds good & it sounds like he knows what he's talking about. Would be good running with Palin.
    HE WAS IN THE SERVICE!

  6. I'd written a "Letter to the Editor" in late 2002, and our local newspaper published it as an Op Ed. when the invasion of Iraq was already in motion (actually the plan was put on the agenda in the early 70's by Kissinger and his Cabal). In that Op Ed, I likened terrorism to cancer that had spread, which you can't really cure with chemicals; and as everyone agree the intelligent approach is PREVENTION. Sadly the "masses" are not interested to hear let alone learn about the genesis of terrorism, 'cause very few are interested in history; but I think Byron DeLear and prior to his comments Anon at 8:34 AM shed some very needed light to this reading audience. Here's a bit more if you're interested:
The US foreign policy in the Middle East, particularly on Palestinian misery and where it relates to controlling Oil resources, is hardly articulated in debates of this nature. These are the roots of this cancer of terrorism that the "masses" do not know an iota about, and they keep electing the same Dem/Repub. machine who is totally under the control of the special interests through the sinister "Think Tank" processing mechanism. So, until you've done some home work and open your minds to inquisitive and investigative instinct, I'm afraid the moniker of "terrorism", "Radical" "Fundamental" "Islam" will continue to drive present day life and events into the abolition of civilisation at the hands of US on one side and so called terrorism on the other. And if you want some proof just look at the comment of Anon. at 8:21AM above, who is certain to be Christian (as I am) brandishing his/her Nukes abound. Indeed it is emblematic of this brand of christianity.

  7. I am proud to say our family backed this man & actively campaigned for him. If he runs for any higher office I would be honored to run his headquarters here in East Tennessee…..he did go to UT & refers to it as Ol' Rocky Top.
Down to Earth, Good Christian man with Morals, & Ethics.
    WEST for President 2012!
HE could BEAT the O man…..

  8. THIS MAN SHOULD BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT.IT IS SO GOOD TO HEAR THE TRUTH ABOUT RADICAL ISLAM AND JIHAD. THE GOOD OLD USA NEEDS TO WAKE UP AND LISTEN TO THIS MANS MESSAGE. SO MANY PEOPLE ARE AFRAID TO ADMIT THE FACT, THAT IT IS WAR ON US RIGHT HEAR IN OUR OWN COUNTRY. THEY THINK THAT RADICAL ISLAM IS NOT GOING TO AFFECT THE WAY WE LIVE AND BREATH. THEY ARE TRYING TO CHANGE OUR CONSTITUTION SO THAT WE WILL ACCEPT SHARIAH LAW.

  9. Regardless of cloak and dagger stories about 9/11, or Obama pissing me off for apologizing for American (which btw no I'm not sorry), global economy and everything else. The war in Iraq comes down to one simple belief that I imagine most of the WORLD would agree on.
If you willingly kill another human for having different religious beliefs then your life is forfeit. If I was in a position of power I would put all the resources I could into killing anyone and everyone who would kill for that reason.
The radicals want to die for whatever pitiful reason they have? Fine line them up and I will remove everyone from the planet. 100 or 1,000,000 doesn't matter to me. I would give them their 72 virgins and have a more stable world for my children to live in.
My justification is simple enough. The look of fear I have seen first hand in Iraqi mother's as they step foot out of their homes to head to the market so they can feed their children. I can get up right now and head into Kroger's and buy whatever I need. My biggest worry at the moment? Some fool who doesn't know how to drive in snow. Mother's in Iraq and the rest of region? They have to worry about some religious fanatic charging at the market they are shopping in with a bomb to blow up someone of a different belief. Hell it might only be 1 person out of the 30 in the market!
Don't look at this as an American, Brit, Australian, or African. Look at this situation as a human. If Col. West would give the resources we needed to put these bastards down I would vote for him to get in and then I would do what I could to speak in front of Congress to extend how long he could be President.

  10. ISLAM was "invented" by Mohammad who was an epileptic illerate who spoke to Allah during the aura after his seizures. He dictated whar Allah told him to someone who could write. He dictated the peaceful verses first then the vioent ones. Then he said last supercedes what I said first.

  11. An educated, yet naive man with no critical thinking skills and pushing an agenda to justify government encroachment and defense spending.
If you trace radical Islam back a few decades, you find British MI6 funding of the Muslim Brotherhood in tactics to overthrow Egypt's Nasser.
No one's talking about the Congressional hearings where the State Department admitted that they knew the underwear bomber was boarding in Amsterdam, but told by intelligence to "Let him ride." Michigan Attorney Kevin Haskell also witnessed a well dressed man assisting our "Fruit of the Boom" bomber to get on the aircraft and said as much on Fox News.

Then there's our other man David Coleman Headley, head of the terror event in Mumbai, India last year, where US law enforcement admitted he worked for them.

"Federal officials acknowledged Saturday that David Coleman Headley’s training with the Pakistani terrorist group Lashkar-i-Taiba overlapped his time as a DEA informant, the non-profit investigative journalism website reported."

"The wife, whom ProPublica is not identifying to protect her safety, also told agents that Headley had bragged of working as a paid U.S. informant while he trained with the terrorists in Pakistan, according to a person close to the case."

  12. Remember Americans, we came to this country for religious freedom. We do not discriminate based on one's choice of religion. Radicalism is separate from Islam and we would be wise to acknowledge that. The fact that so many in our country are blind to that simple truth only antagonizes the Islamic radicals and bolsters their recruitment. Islam is just as good as any religion. Not that any are truly 'good' but that is not the issue, radical extremism is, no matter what front it hides behind. Get it straight.

  13. listen to @1:49 "our Constitutional democracy".. excuse me, we live in a Republic under Constitutional Law.. the law is bein' broken by our non-representing representitives.. those that wish our country harm should be drawn to the gallows, not walking or carried, and hung by their necks until they are dead.. and, the hangings should be public to show our children that they will know what to do in 40 years when traitors run their country..

  14. Thank God Someone who can tell us the truth and stand up to the liberal idiots like some of the critics above. Go Allen West and lets finish this WAR once and for all . They want us all dead. We need to be strong and call it what it is. Muslim extremist need to be dealt a permanent debilitating blow. The arab nations who support them are the real problem.

  15. If I had any concerns regarding this position, it would be the application of the (albeit accurate) word, sedition.

Recall your early American history, and the Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798. Not even ten years after the ratification of the Constitution, the federal government pushed through laws that would silence certain kinds of speech defined in the text of those laws. It was used for purely political ends, and always to the detriment of essential liberty.

I understand and agree with pretty much everything Rep. West has to say; I am only concerned for the possible return to such tactics.

By way of a possible solution (I cannot stand it when people rant and complain… and offer no solutions), I propose limiting free exercise of sharia to the mosque and the private dwelling – beyond these areas, behaviors that would be acceptable under sharia (should they be already unlawful) are punishable under federal, state, and local American law. This includes terrorist acts such as remote bombings (placing an IED in a train station or bus station, then detonating it by cell phone while standing in a mosque), since the placement of the IED would require the conscious act of placing the device outside of the protected area of home or mosque.

I am not adverse to people practicing their religion and heritage within their homes – with due respectful consideration of their neighbors – and within the confines of their chosen place of worship. What I object to is the combined effort to force acceptance of open abuse of groups outside of the one group, and outright refusal to assimilate into the pre-existing culture.

  16. WEST SOUNDS FINE TO ME.
HE WOULD BE GREAT AS SECRETARY OF DEFENSE.
AS A POSSIBLE PREZ CANDIDATE IN 2012 THE SHADOW GOVERNMENT WOULD NOT BE INTERESTED IN PUSHING HIM THROUGH THE ELECTION PROCESS TO VICTORY.
COULD HE BE STANDING UP TO THE BILDERBERGERS AND OTHER POWERFUL CABALS?
    REMEMBER KENNEDY?

  17. I do not support the current strategies being employed in Iraq or Afghanistan—our big mistake has been in defining international terrorism as a sovereign battle the US was to fight, as opposed to cornering it as rogue acts of transnational criminality — to wit, you can't fight the decentralized and asymmetrical nature of terrorism with traditional massed military deployments and occupations. I have said in the past that's like trying to paddle a boat with a tennis racket. This is where the whole War on Terrorism strategy fails to hold water.

If you study some of the thinking within US strategic think tanks, you’ll find interesting ideas like we are not actually trying to “win” these battles/wars, but are rather solidifying these regions into a state of perpetual instability to prevent any emerging competitors. It is a grand geo-chess match that’s being played with strategic resources, and major players like China, Russia, India and Iran in the mix. In chess you try to control the center four squares of the board. In many ways the Middle East and the Near East (Afghanistan/Iran) are those center four squares.

Bigger problem is, we are protecting the global economic system with, 1. American tax dollars borrowed from China and Japan and, 2. The blood of our young servicemen and women, while most of the benefits the protection America is providing are accruing to a select global few. It’s a classic case of free-rider syndrome.

Regarding terrorism and 911, our foes, structurally more akin to drug cartels than state actors, will continue to proliferate beyond the borders of our current occupations in a decentralized and asymmetrical fashion, effectively sidestepping most of our efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq. Meanwhile, America plods down the well-trodden road of waning military empires overextending ourselves economically and militarily, depleting our resources, degrading our values, and ultimately, losing sight of and defeating our purpose as a nation.

My suggestion for an affordable approach towards the Afghan war policy—if it’s really only about fighting terrorism—is this: President Obama should bring the majority of our ground troops home in Afghanistan and maintain an active collaboration with the Afghan military including over-watch responsibilities with air superiority and intelligence to insure no terrorist “safe-haven” would emerge. Special Forces could be utilized on the ground in mission-specific operations to insure terrorist containment focusing on the porous 1,500 mile border with Pakistan. No permanent old-school military occupations to fight this asymmetrical and decentralized foe.

If our projection of force is about a grander geo-political chess game, which is what you hear in darkened stratego-think circles, then I believe the American people deserve to be in on that debate instead of fed empty rhetoric about terrorist threats that are minuscule and pale in comparison to what we faced in the Cold War. In answer to the question, how do you think we should fight terrorism? You start with the truth.

Thank you for your ears and consideration,

    In your service,

    Byron DeLear

  18. Thank you for the link to Representative Elect West’s interview. If you please, I’d like to offer a dissenting opinion.

I didn’t hear anything new or useful beyond tough talk. It was good tough talk, as far as tough talk goes, and he sounds like a capable soldier.

Now I know tough talk feels good, makes you wanna say, “hell yeah!” and so on. But this is not the kind of leadership that’s effective for us domestically, nor is respected internationally—which is the field we must play in. Gen. G. Washington did not communicate like this, nor Jefferson, nor Lincoln, nor FDR. Check out the comments left below Rep. West’s video and you’ll get a sense of the emotion that his message is pinging. It’s a palpable frustration that is not well thought out and would be reckless if executed. I’ve copied one of the comments below as an example of this emotional recklessness, where someone suggested that an appropriate response to 9/11 would have been to nuke eight capitals out of existence in the Middle East and Near East killing tens of millions of innocent human beings. This comment was among many others saying that they would support West for the Presidency.

To summon a historical analog, Patton was great as a general, but would probably not have been a great commander-in-chief with the control of nukes. Same goes for Gen. McArthur, who had requested 20-30 tactical nukes to be used against the Chinese forces in Korea. That was tough talk back then, and President Truman knew better than to give sway to such reckless tough talk or thinking. The precedent of using tactical nukes in Korea would mean we would be living in a very radioactive world today–Truman’s presence of mind and being, and his ability to exhibit wise restraint, are still being felt today. We know he wasn’t just some pacifist, unwilling to deploy, considering August 6th and 9th, 1945.

As a military officer, it’s clear that Rep. Elect West knows how to play offence. But just as much as fighting fire-with-fire is a viable strategy; also, fighting fire-with-water works as well. To limit ourselves to one tactic or the other would be like fighting with one arm tied behind our back—and that’s a sure way to lose a fight. In his rhetoric, about how we have to “just go out and kill them”, there is no indication of any nuanced perspective which reflects the realities on the ground. Good for a fighter, but bad for a strategist.

  19. I agree with all the pro-West comments except one. The 2012 Republican ticket should be West/Palin instead of the other way around!

  20. West is an imbecile who contradicts himself! Obama has killed more terrorists and Taliban than Bush/Cheney did in 8 years.

Obama said "the war on terror" as a tactic is over. West criticizes him for that and then says THE SAME THING.

West is saying precisely what Obama says but you imbeciles just HATE him.

    Obama never appeased anyone.

Obama said "We quit? HE NEVER SAID ANY SUCH THING.

    YOU PEOPLE ARE FRIGGIN MORONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    like West.

  21. I believe the reason most white people admire and respect men like Lt.Col. West is that he stands in defiance of 90% of the black population who kling to the tit of the democrat party. Black conservatives are the 21st Century Jackie Robinson. Men like JC Watts, Tim Scott, and Clarence Thomas stand against there own population to support our God given liberties. These men allow white folks to prove that we are not racists and that we support the Constitution, Conservatism and AMERICA regardless of the color of a mans skin. While the extorsion artists Al Sharpton & Jessie Jackson propagate hatred toward conservativism and self-reliance. I have been a Republican my whole life. My biggest issue with the Republican party (other than the McCain Lindsey Graham Rhino's) is that this party has not done enough to propagate and nourish minority candidates. I will forever be pissed that the first black president did not come from the Repubican party…

  22. RADICAL ISLAM? THE DEATHS OF OVER A MILLION INOCENT PEOPLE TO CAPTURE A CIA OPERATIVE, WHO IS NOT EVEN WANTED FOR 911 IS RADICAL. THE FACTS ARE THIS:

OSAMA BIN LADIN IS NOT WANTED FOR 911
ISREALI AGENTS ALONG WITH ROGUE ELEMENTS WITHIN OUR GOVERMENT COMMITED THE 911 FALSE FLAG OPERATION.
THE GOVERMENT HAS LIED ABOUT 911 SO MANY TIMES, I WOULD HAVE TO SPEND THE NEXT FEW DAYS ON THIS EMAIL TO SHOW YOU.
AT LEAST 7 OF THE "HIGHJACKERS" ARE STILL ALIVE
OUR GOVERMENT CLAIMS A COP FOUND A MUSLIM HIGHJACKER PASSPORT IN THE RUBBLE THE DAY OF 911. SO WE ARE TO BELIEVE THAT IT SOMEHOW SURVIVED THE FIRE, HOT ENOUGH OF COURSE TO MELT IRON. (JET FUEL BURNS AT HALF THE TEMPATURE HOT ENOUGH TO MELT STEEL!)
THE "WAR ON TERROR" IS FAKE! IT IS STAGED IN ORDER TO IMPLAMENT THE FINAL NWO AGENDA.
MORE PEOPLE DIE FROM BEE STINGS THEN THEY DO TERRORISM
Al Qaeda WAS CREATED BY THE CIA!

WE CAN NOT PRINT OUR WAY OUT OF THIS COLLAPSE OF THE FINACIAL SYSTEM, NOR CAN WE "CUT" SPENDING ENOUGH TO SAVE THE FINACIAL SYSTEM FROM COLLAPSE. WE ARE IN A COLLAPSE FUNTION AND VERY FEW ECONOMIST UNDERSTAND HOW TO FIX IT. AS LONG AS WE ARE IN THE ABOVE LEFT/RIGHT ECONIMIC PARADIAM AND REFUSE TO WAKE UP TO THE FACT THAT THE PROBLEM IS THE CURRENT FRACTIONAL RESERVE BANKING SYSTEM…ET AL, WE WILL CONTINUE TO SLIDE INTO A NEW DARK AGE. THE USA IS COLLAPSING, THIS IS A FACT, ANYONE THAT DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THIS FACT SHOULD NOT BE IN OFFICE. VERY FEW REPUGS OR DEMOCRATS IN OFFICE AT THIS TIME IS QUILIFIED. BY 2012, THERE WILL BE NO QUESTION ABOUT THE SEVERITY OF THE PROBLEM WE FACE. THE ONLY "SOLUTION" UNDER THIS CURRENT COLLAPSE FUNTION UNDERSTOOD BY THE GLOBAL BANKING POWER ELITE IS VERY SIMPLE FOR THEM… IT IS TIME FOR THE GREAT CULLING, MASS DEATHS, A REDUCTION OF POPULATION IN THE TUNE OF BILLIONS, WHICH IS UNDER WAY. TO SAVE THE CURRENT SYSTEM, THIS IS THE ONLY SOLUTION. THE PREPARATIONS FOR THIS HAVE BEEN UNDERWAY FOR MANY YEARS, ESPECIALLY SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 BEING THE KICK OFF FALSE FLAG EVENT TO BRING IN THE POLICE STATE, FEMA CAMPS AND A TOTAL SURVEILLANCE GRID FOR THE PATRIOTS THAT WILL STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR OUR REPUBLIC.

  23. Lt.Col.West is a soldier I would go to war with.He speaks volumes on where we stand as a country.A true Officer and soldier. It's hard for me to follow a president who never served 1 daty in a military uniform

    Maj.Gerald H. Wienckowski
    342nd Forward Support Battalion
    U.S.Army (ret.)

  24. I love this guy and I voted for Obama (because I thought he was a smart person who could rally the country behind the causes important to me.) I was wrong. We need a guy like West in the Oval office.

  25. West – G enrich ticket 2012 is a complete winner! God has sent us our next Reagan when we so desperately need just such a man!

  26. Wonderful patroit. We need to get this true American to do great things in Congress, then the Senate and then the White House. SOON!

  27. Hey, this man is truley an American.Integrity,Honor just to name a few atributes!Lets seek more not only those who believe as he,but also willing to openly speak our truths!

  28. It's amazing how our Creator balances our troubles: Lt. Col. West is the polar opposite of the destructive Usurper/Muslim ideologue inhabiting the White House.

  29. Mr West is a true American. Hes been there he knows. Take out the terrorists. If they want to start crap on U.S. soil or anywhere take them out. This man gets it, he should be our President. Hopefully one day he will be. This guy has a SET and takes no B.S. Unlike the spineless worm we have now. Mr West you have my vote in a heart beat. I agree with everything you say and I have been watching alot of you interviews. West you go for it, the true American people get it, we will have your back. I will for sure sir.

  30. The man's a Yahoo, nothing more.

Walk softly carry a big stick. Running around saying Kill, Kill, invade, destroy, destruct just makes him sound like he watched to many westerns and war movies.

He's unwise to the ways of the world. A guy like this would be nothing but trouble for America.

I shudder at the idea of this character being in charge of anything.

  31. Great! Another clueless Neocon who can't connect the invasion of the Middle East by the imperialist US govt with Muslim jihadists. Way to go, Col. Clueless. Let's have perpetual war for perpetual peace. Let's have a shoutout for the military-industrial-bankster complex by the idiot voters who beg for yet another warmongering statist fool. Yeah, make this clown president — that ought to finish off the flat broke terrorist tyranny pretending to be the US govt.

  32. What are waiting for? Elect this man President and get the bumbling idiot of a president we have now out of there before it is too late.

  33. What an idiot this guy! How about a solution Asshole!? Criticize all you want, but have a plan to counter the one you don't like. Cowtowing? That was the pot….

  34. Yeah!!! We have finally found our next George Washington. I will support COL. West in every way possible if he runs for President. This is the kind of leader our country needs to return to the founding principles that made this country the greatest in history. He will take the oath to protect the Constitution seriously and would probably throw all the Marxist Czars we now have running the country in prizon for life. Go West young man!!!

  35. How refreshing to hear someone tell it like it really is. I think the people elected the wrong one to be president!! Wake up people before it is too late.

  36. COL. West, My wife and I heard you on an interview while driving home. You were running for office from the great state of Florida. I was encouraged to check your info on the net. Sir, I would follow you gas can in hand, you are the type of leader America is hungering for a patriot who loves his country and articulates it.

  37. Can you imagine how much better our lives would be if this American patriot was President? I hope RNC pays attention and helps him go all the way. It's about time we had a politician in office in Washingotn we can look up to and not regret it. I hope all of America ssprays for Rep. West and sends him notes of support.

  38. As a retired senior enlisted soldier with two tours to Iraq, and who has served in Desert Storm, one can only echo his sentiments. LT COL West now Congressman West has what it takes to be a President and those in Florida who elected him to his congressional seat can be proud of his devotion to country and his patriotism as an Army Soldier.

  39. I hope Congressman is just the first step for Col West – can you imagine how the fate of the USA and the Western World would change for the better with such logic, patriotism and determination?

  40. Palin/West 2012-2032!

(We're going to have to "amend" the constitution to get rid of all the liberal amendments: we may as well bring in 10 year terms too!)

Still – I think the Dick Cheney / John Boulton strategic response on 9/12 was the biggest missed opportunity.

In one day, Tehran, Baghdad, Kabul, Mosul, Basra, Islamabda, Medina, and Mecca could have ceased to exist. And that's not even a full broadside from one Ohio class boat.

  41. this is the man who should be President. He gets it about islam. He puts Obama to shame. West doesn't believe taquiaa..he knows. He won't bow down to Islam. West believes in Americans, not Islamists. He needs to step on Bloomberg.

  42. Colonel West is "the man". He had my support during his campaign and I am honored and humbled by his representation. I would gladly vote to elect him as my President.

God, Country, Honor, Honesty, Character, Principle, Dignity, and Duty are but a few of the words to describe this man. I pray for him and his much needed Leadership in our Congress.

May God Bless Mr. West, and all that he stands for.

  43. Lt. Col. Allen West, ret., is not limited to/by race, he is fully a red blooded American patriot of the highest order . . .pure GOLD.

West already has my attention. Should he decide he is ready to run for president of the USA, he has my vote, financial support and [my] time to volunteer for his campaign.

  44. BEAUTIFUL! God Himself couldn't have said it better.

This is MY black messiah (I'm white), we are so fortunate this guy was elected. He is a REAL American, he put his life on the line to honor his oath to protect our Constitution, and IT SHOWS.

He told a court martial board attempting to discipline him for "frightening" an enemy trying to kill members of his unit, that he would carry a can of gasoline through the fires of Hell, if that is what it took to save the lives of his subordinates.

This guy has what it takes to lead the nation and we should all "fall in" behind him.
