Just as a giant snowfall came to the Washington, D.C. area, a blizzard of lies descended on the nation, portraying ICE agents as fascists for trying to disarm an anti-ICE protester with a concealed weapon who resisted arrest.
Let us understand what happened here. Alex Jeffrey Pretti came to an anti-ICE protest armed while trying to interfere with law enforcement operations.
“This is the definition of a war by choice,” claimed anti-Trump “journalists” Jim VandeHei and Mike Allen of Axios, referring to ICE operations. No, it is a “war” instigated by Democrats in Minnesota who refused to permit local police to assist in non-violent apprehensions of illegal aliens. This duo of overpaid and insulated “highly respected journalists” actually travel the country touting their “disruptive” media company and spouting their venom.
They are part of the problem, and they have only inflamed the situation.
The death of this harmless “nurse” armed with a concealed weapon is the impact the agitators wanted. He was thrown into the middle of a confrontation, and ICE agents reacted as human beings normally would when they saw the weapon and their own lives were endangered.
It is amazing how opponents of the Second Amendment are now defending this “nurse” for provoking ICE agents with a loaded firearm and a fully loaded magazine.
Why did he need a weapon? To protect himself from Somali immigrants? Not likely. But bringing a loaded gun to a protest that was designed to escalate into dangerous violence was not a wise move. He should have known better. He was probably a dupe, but could have been more than that – a professional agitator whose mission was to provoke a confrontation.
We are accustomed to the “mainstream media” spouting lies non-stop, but the curious aspect, in my opinion, is how foreign media based in the USA sound increasingly like the communist press. A blatant example is David Smith of the British Guardian, whose article actually appeared under the headline:
“‘This is what fascism looks like’: terror in Minneapolis reminiscent of civil war.”
Something similar has appeared under the banner of various communist groups, exploiting the violence.
Consider the headline, “ICE Terrorizes Minneapolis,” from the Revolutionary Communists of America.
Once again, as we saw with the case of the queer woman who rammed an ICE agent with her car, the media are frantically trying to rewrite what happened in order to blame ICE for protecting themselves.
When so-called “mainstream” reporters echo communist propaganda, you know the problem of media malpractice has reached epidemic proportions.
Do not be misled by the blizzard of lies.
An honest account of how these domestic and foreign media outlets function as communist echo chambers is necessary to understanding how a dupe like the armed ICE protester in Minneapolis got himself killed and has been made into a martyr.
I don’t know who David Smith is, or what motivates him. Suffice it to say, he sees value in exploiting mayhem. The use of the term “fascism” is an old communist trick, designed to deflect attention away from the anti-ICE protesters, egged on by communists, who got one of their own killed.
Since there is really nothing we can do about the media misdeeds, it is vital that we stand with President Trump and his Administration as they seek to expose how Minnesota state authorities are inviting this insurrection and bloodshed. As such, the American people have to depend on ICE to apprehend and deport the criminals targeting Americans for death.
Depend on the elected president and his team, not the unelected and elite media celebrities who live in prestigious surroundings without interference from foreign criminal gangs.
The difference between the George Floyd riots and now is that Trump has learned his lesson, and his people, Stephen Miller and Kristi Noem, understand how professional agitators are behind the violence.
For my part, as a long-time media critic, I look into the background of these agitators wearing journalistic garb, only to discover that one “David Smith” is identified as “a former foreign correspondent, who represented the UN Secretary-General in the Americas from 2004-2014.” This is the guy whose byline appears under the headline about the fascism charge against ICE.
He charged that Trump’s deployment of ICE agents to evict criminals constituted “borrowing from an authoritarian playbook reminiscent of Saddam Hussein of Iraq, targeting the Kurds or Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, causing the Holodomor, or ‘death by hunger,’ in Ukraine.”
I have never met this “David Smith,” but he has clearly lost his mind. No wonder he worked for the useless and corrupt U.N.
The fascism charge was attributed to Garrett Graff, identified as “a journalist and historian,” who claimed that Minneapolis “is a US city living under occupation by fascist presidential secret police right now.”
Wow. It turns out that he is a former editor of Politico Magazine, editor-in-chief of Washingtonian magazine in Washington, D.C., and – get this – an “instructor at Georgetown University in the Master’s in Professional Studies Journalism and Public Relations.”
Another bio reveals that he served as deputy national press secretary on Democrat Howard Dean’s presidential campaign and, beginning in 1997, was then-Governor Dean’s first webmaster. Dean was known for the “scream” about winning when he was drummed out of the race for sounding hysterical.
Professional journalist? Give me a break. But this is a guy teaching journalism.
It is apparent that he lives in privileged surroundings, largely immune from the crime and degradation that characterizes inner cities like Minneapolis, Minnesota, where the criminal illegal aliens have taken refuge.
This is our America, not theirs. Kick them out. Deport them. Save our cities.
