The Military Sealift ship USS San Diego (TAFS 6) and the U.S. NavyÕs nuclear powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) conduct a vertical replenishment (VERTREP) while operating in the central Mediterranean Sea, March 11, 1996. George Washington pulled anchor earlier in the day after a four-day port visit to Marseille, France. Commanded by CAPT Malcolm P.
