Things got violent in Seattle yesterday as a demonstration in support of Second Amendment gun-rights brought out left-wing counter-protesters in Seattle versus right-wing pro-gun-rights patriots, forcing dozens of police to keep the two sides separated. Three men were arrested in the fighting and there was plenty of blood and mayhem. Just the way communists like it.

The Washington 3 Percenters, Proud Boys and Patriot Prayer, who are all conservative patriot groups, held their ‘Liberty or Death’ rally outside Seattle City Hall to oppose a city gun-control initiative. Nearby a group of left-wing organizations rallied and prepared to face-off with the conservatives. You’ll be shocked that the leftists included members of the communist Organized Workers for Labor Solidarity, Radical Women, and the Freedom Socialist Party. They yelled and used cowbells and sirens in an attempt to drown out speeches from the other side. When that didn’t work, they got their violence on.

One Trump supporter on the gun-rights side, sporting a Donald Trump hat, was treated for an injury at the scene. A police spokesman told the Seattle Times that a total of three men were arrested for misdemeanor assault. The two groups were separated by metal barricades along Fourth Avenue and a sea of Seattle police officers, many of them on bicycles.

As things got more and more contentious, additional police arrived to try and quell the violence. Some of them were in riot gear and bicycle officers lined up their bikes as a form of moving barrier to block protesters. The gun-control initiative would have expanded background checks, raised the age for people buying semi-automatic rifles from 18 to 21, and created standards for safely storing firearms. I am thrilled and relieved that a judge on Friday threw out 300,000 signatures that were necessary to put the initiative on the November ballot on the grounds that it did not meet election-law requirements. The Alliance for Gun Responsibility, the group behind the proposal, has appealed the motion. Let’s hope that fails as well.

This protest came just two weeks after police in riot gear in Portland, OR, tried to keep right-wing and left-wing groups separated and failed. Police officers were accused of being heavy-handed, prompting the city’s new police chief to order a review of officers’ use of force. That’s just insane. They were dealing with violent Antifa members and communists just as the police in Seattle were. It’s the same players in many cases, just a different location.

The media is spinning these rallies yesterday as peaceful but loud. Let me tell you something… when people get beaten and bloodied that is not ‘peaceful’. Just more propaganda coming from the leftist media hacks. The media wrote on heavily armed right-wing protesters who traded verbal barbs with bandanna-clad anti-fascist protesters across the street. It was a pro-gun-rights rally… of course, they were armed you morons. And if you are going to be attacked by Antifa and communist radicals, you’d better be armed just in case.

At one point, a scuffle broke out on the corner of Cherry Street and Fourth Avenue. A man dressed in black, with a black bandanna (that would be the Antifa goon) was taken away in handcuffs. A man in a red Donald Trump hat knelt on the street, bleeding from his forehead (that would be the part that says this was anything but peaceful). There were approximately 150 conservatives there protesting as opposed to approximately 450 leftist radicals. It is after all Seattle.

Joey Gibson, the founder of Patriot Prayer, said the people were “marching against violence on the far left.” The media made a huge deal over many of the right-wing protesters openly carrying guns. They were primarily handguns, but there were also rifles. They whined that the protesters wore body armor, padded gloves, and earpieces, and carried spare magazines and other tactical gear. A half-dozen wore black polo shirts, trimmed with yellow, which has become the unofficial uniform of the far-right Proud Boys, which the Southern Poverty Law Center lists as a hate group. They aren’t a hate group but I contend the SPLC certainly is. Tim Lassley, 43, of Kent described the right-wing rallygoers he was with as a “loose band of patriots.”

Many counterprotesters covered their faces with bandannas and wore T-shirts or stickers declaring “I am an anti-fascist.” Those are your Antifa thugs. Several counterprotesters carried guns themselves, wearing T-shirts for the Puget Sound John Brown Gun Club. They are a group named for a 19th-century antislavery campaigner which says it carries out “liberatory community defense.” It had around a dozen members at the rally. Others carried signs reading “fascism kills” and “hate groups not welcome.” “We came together to counter the whole right-wing message,” said Maxine Reigel, 65, of Seattle, a volunteer member of the steering committee of Organized Workers for Labor Solidarity. “No, we can’t be attacking immigrants; yes, we need to support women’s rights. We need to support women’s reproductive freedom.” Spoken like a true communist.

Initiative 1639, a state initiative to expand gun control, is indeed “illegal and unconstitutional.” I don’t blame these people for protesting over it. They should. But the left is now really gearing up for violence. When it comes it will probably be somewhere like Seattle, Portland or Berkeley. But at this rate, it will eventually happen and it won’t be pretty.

  1. NRA folks should know to wear head gear, even just a bicycle helmet and pepper spray, the kind with DYE IN IT so police can track down the perps.

Then SUE the police and the AG Sessions for NOT protecting your civil rights.

Fight back or no one will have sympathy for you.

  2. Stupid GUN RIGHTS advocates should know by now WEAR HEAD GEAR, even a bicycle helmet and a a GO-PRO so you can SUE THE HELL OUT OF THESE SCUM,

Then FILE CHARGES AGAINST Jeff Sessions for NOT PROTECTING YOUR CIVIL RIGHTS.
