Professor John McAdams

Free speech and academic freedom are under assault at Marquette University. The administration at this Catholic University is trying to fire the “Marquette Warrior” blogger, Professor John McAdams, for exposing various embarrassments on campus, such as a mural glamorizing the cop-killer Assata Shakur, and how an instructor tried to ban “homophobic” comments. In response to his blog post on the mural, the Marquette administration had it painted over. In response to his blog post on a ban on “homophobic” comments in one class, the administration suspended and banned McAdams from campus, and is now trying to fire him.

  1. There’s nothing wrong with normal people being “homophobic”, a revulsion of this ABOMINATION in the eyes of God. What IS important is not to be “Theo-phobic”, the welfare of the nation depends on it.

The founding law of this country declared homosexuality to be a capital crime. Check out how “sodomy” is defined in Bouvier’s Law Dictionary.

  2. Nothing new here. My wife was a student at Marquette in the 1950’s. Her Theology Professor, Father John R. Sheets, SJ, was one of only two of the entire Marquette faculty to refuse to sign a petition against Pope Paul VI’s Humanae Vitae.

The school, like most Catholic universities, was already going down the toilet of political correctness and liberation theology. That’s why new truly Catholic Schools like Thomas Aquinas, John Paul II, Steubenville and Ave Maria have been rising out of the ashes.

In 1978, Father John, later Bishop, gave me a paper he wrote that outlined the potential rise of Islam as a political power again in a world no longer Christian – quoting a Muslim who saw themselves as locust with 99 eggs. Should they attain the 100th egg, they “would lay waste to the world and all that is in it.” IMO, the OWG types have made the USA that 100th Egg.
