Buying Time For Putin: The Nuclear Card

In A New York Nuke Minute” – nukes over Manhattan are what concern Barack Obama, evidently… Russia, not so much. From our Marxist leader who has done his very best to gut us militarily and destroy all our nuclear arsenal, so that we could not retaliate or protect ourselves, comes a sudden concern for nukes in New York. I sincerely doubt Obama has seen the radioactive light. Instead, this has the feel of another distraction either to lessen scrutiny on his failure to do anything meaningful over Russia and/or to buy his buddy Putin time.

In a twofer yesterday, headlines were thrown out over Obama’s new fixation with nuclear warfare.

In a scene out of War Games, and a very stupid one at that, David Cameron joined Barack Obama, Angela Merkel and Xi Jinping, as well as a host of other world leaders to play a “nukes on the loose” war game to see how they would cope with a terrorist nuclear attack. I kid you not. Supposedly, the game was to scare some reality into our intrepid leaders. Only the Germans dared to say anything at the table over this childish and idiotic farce. But, Merkel was put in her place and the game went on. I bet they were playing Nuclear Risk. There is such a game – I have it (come on… you’re not surprised are you?). Heads of State sat around seeing how many millions they could annihilate. Given the current team, it was probably a close call:

In the nuclear war game, demonstrated by actors in a series of videos, a “dirty bomb” attack is set to take place in a major western city, perpetrated by terrorists from an unidentified international terror organization, who stole nuclear material from a country with poor security on its nuclear stockpile. “It could be the City of London, or Wall Street, Milan or anywhere”, summit leaders were told.

The game challenged the world leaders to take action in the face of a nuclear attack and prevent the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people.

“They had to give an answer on their own, in real time. It was like a test. It put them on the spot. Should they inform the public or keep them in the dark,” the Telegraph quoted a diplomatic source as saying.

“Should they work with other countries or stand alone to try to thwart or minimize the attack? How should they make the cold calculation of how to get a more sustainable human cost in terms of deaths?” the source added.

The leaders entered their answers on a touch-screen tablet against a ticking clock. They later discussed their responses.

US officials stated that they intended to give the leaders a “scare you to death” shock in order drive home the importance of nuclear security.

“Leaders had their doubts about participation on their own without their expert civil servants. It was about discussion and problem solving without leaders relying on written statements to read out. At the end the leaders were more enthusiastic,” the Telegraph quoted a spokesman for the summit as saying.

I don’t know whether to roll on the floor laughing, or bang my head on a wall and cry. I mean, come on! Does anyone take the US seriously anymore? They couldn’t scare a rabbit on nuclear security. They certainly don’t scare our enemies. While Obama is playing games with imaginary dirty bombs and imaginary dead bodies, Russia, China and Iran are wearing their big boy pants and readying the real deal. If we let this go on much longer, death will be very real to Americans. Very.

As if this wasn’t the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard, it gets worse unbelievably. Obama then takes center stage and utters this:

“With respect to Mr. Romney’s assertion that Russia is our number one geopolitical foe, the truth of the matter is that America has a whole lot of challenges,” said the president.

“Russia is a regional power that is threatening some of its immediate neigbors, not out of strength, but out weakness.

“Ukraine has been a country which Russia had enormous influence for decades, since the break-up of the Soviet Union, and we have considerable influence on our neighbors, we generally don’t need to invade them in order to have a strong cooperative relationship with them. The fact that Russia felt compelled to go in militarily and laid bear these violations of internationl law indicates less influence not more.

“So my response then continues to be what I believe today, which is: Russia’s actions are a problem. They don’t pose the number one national security threat to the United States. I continue to be much more concerned when it comes to our security with the prospect of a nuclear weapon going off in Manhattan,” said Obama.

I am absolutely speechless over this idiocy. Obama knows full well that those nukes could very well come from Russia, her proxies or her allies. What’s more, answering in this manner eludes to a known potential threat currently out there. Did someone call for an apocalypse? I never got the memo. If there is a credible threat as Obama is evidently hinting at, shouldn’t the country be on heightened alert? Is this really the time to downsize the military? Questions, questions… but insanity rules the day and here we are.

I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about. Nope. Just another run on the banks in China this morning. Just the very real threat that Russia and China will remove the US as the world’s reserve currency. Just the fact that Poland called up 7,000 reservists for the first time and Russian troops are amassing on Moldova’s border right after their annexation of Crimea in the Ukraine. Just the small issue that letters were sent to Poland, Romania and Hungary offering territory to them in the Ukraine by Russia if they would join the old Soviet gang again. Just the issue that North Korea test-fired two medium-range ballistic missiles on Wednesday. Never mind the Iranian Supreme leader once again denying the Holocaust ever happened and his revving up the Iranian masses with chants of ‘Death to America!’ It’s no biggie that Russia, China and Iran are setting up bases in South and Central America, or that China will have nukes on their submarines this year. Peshaw! Nothing to see here — quick, watch American Idol… emulate morally bankrupt American celebrities… freebies anyone! Who gives a damn if we are broke and defenseless? Just our enemies within and without, that’s all.

As Obama is buying time for Putin and our other enemies, he is busy throwing out the nuclear card and petulantly claiming that Russia is nothing to worry about:

“In China, in Syria, in Egypt, and now in Russia, we’ve seen you make strong statements, issue warnings that have been ignored,” Karl began. “Are you concerned that America’s influence in the world, your influence in the world, is on the decline?”

“In light of recent developments, do you think that Mitt Romney had a point when he said Russia is America’s biggest geopolitical foe?” Karl continued.

“Russia is a regional power that is threatening some of its immediate neighbors, not out of strength but out of weakness,” Obama asserted, as though he was talking about the psychological insecurities that plague the average playground bully.

“The fact that Russia felt compelled to go in militarily and lay bare these violations of international law indicates less influence, not more,” Obama insisted.

Here’s a flash for Obama… nukes don’t come from heaven, they aren’t delivered by Unicorns and Russia is not a ‘regional’ power, you collectivist, weak asshat. If and when the nukes are delivered by a myriad of methods, you can bet that Russia, China or Iran will be behind the ultimate gift of death to us. Obama is not interested in the motivations of Putin, because he has the same motivations and they are evil.

  2. Hi Nic – ask I said in the article, there is definitely nuclear threats from Russia, China and Iran. But bozo is saying there is nothing to worry about from Russia. That nuke in Manhattan could be delivered via Russia easily.

      1. btw2, do you know that connection to your site works disproportionately badly in recent days?.. I wonder on which end could be the snag?..

  3. so no nuclear/strategic threat to the US anymore?..
