Far Left “Think Tank” to Tour Chilean Communist Student Leader Through US Campuses
Far left Washington DC based “think tank” the Institute for Policy Studies has again shown its true colors, by inviting a Chilean student leader to tour the United States.
Long the U.S.’s most important ideas factory for the left (including the Obama administration) I.P.S. has a history of working with communists and communist governments, stretching back to the mid-1960s.
The student leader in question is Camila Vallejo a geography student at the University of Chile and president of the Student Federation of the same university, who has become the face of the massive and ongoing wave of violent student protests that have threatened the conservative government of Chilean President Sebastián Piñera.
Camila Vallejo, is a card carrying member of the Young Communist League of Chile and the daughter of Communist Party members who fought against the government of former Chilean President Augusto Pinochet.
Now I.P.S. is facilitating a tour of U.S. college campuses by the charismatic young communist leader to hopefully stir up a new wave student protest across America.
According to the I.P.S. website:
We urge you to attend this Institute for Policy Studies event, where we’ll celebrate two of the great student leaders of our time. They are Camila Vallejo and Noam Titelman. These two dynamos have led hundreds of thousands of Chileans into the streets to demand free higher education.
IPS is bringing them to the United States to tour college campuses and brainstorm about common strategies with student leaders here who are fighting the student debt trap and tuition hikes that are making college diplomas out-of-reach for too many Americans.
The Institute for Policy Studies is helping to build both “pressure from above” and “pressure from below,” in order to bring about its goal of a socialist America.
