Kyl Says Obama Said No Border Security for Political Reasons

Submitted by on August 29, 2011 – 1:30 am EST7 Comments

On June 18, 2010, Arizona Republican Senator Jon Kyl told the audience at a North Phoenix Tea Party town hall meeting that during a private, one-on-one meeting with President Obama in the Oval Office, the President told him, regarding securing the southern border with Mexico, “The problem is, . . . if we secure the border, then you all won’t have any reason to support ‘comprehensive immigration reform.'” [Audible gasps were heard throughout the audience.] Sen. Kyl continued, “In other words, they’re holding it hostage. They don’t want to secure the border unless and until it is combined with ‘comprehensive immigration reform.'”

John Kyl has no credibility. He signed that SMART Treaty. He needs to go. On one hand he talks about what Obama is doing, yet he does absolutely nothing to stop it. Go to hell, Senator. You can’t have it both ways. It will be good when you and the rest of this lazy bunch are gone.

I so disagree with you. at least he is standing up to the mexicans coming here that do not belong here. obama is an idiot who cares nothing about America and is taking away everything it stands for. I back John Kyl in everything he is doing to keep illegal immigrants out! they are not lazy, they are doing something. you can yourself go to hell!

Mr. President, your days of being the President are numbered. You are a one term President. Move over Jimmy Carter, America has found your replacement as the worst of the worst.

  • Mike campbell says:

He needs the vote from them to win another term And his marxism agenda he cares nothing about our security its his vision of a new world order where theres a few at the top and we pay for them to run the world the way they see fit !!!

  • frank says:

Exactly what is this “comprehensive” reform? Why doesn’t he level with us and tell us what he is talking about instead of obscuring his agenda benind ambiguous euphemeism that can mean just about anything?

When I hear politicians use these deliberately confusing terms like “comprehensive” or “sustainable”, etc., I am automatically suspicious and want no part of it. If they won’t tell us in understandable terms what they are proposing we need to get rid of them. They don’t represent our intersts and are trying to pull a fast one on us.

I want nothing to do with anything “comprehensive”. Talk common sense and I’ll listen.

  • One more reason to impeach Mr Obama, in holding border security hostage to the immigration reform, he is failing in his duties he swore upon taking the oath of the Presidency.

Stand ready for terrorist attacks, narco-terrorist or regular to come from across the border; I do see a case of AZ burning and the fed’s standing by and doing nothing save to wait for the people to rise up so they can come down, and come down hard.
