Tweedle Clark and Tweedle Key Stifle Our De-moc-ra-cy!

From Rodney Hide

In response to questioning by Rodney Hide in Parliament today the Prime Minister said she was not aware of any public polling since the ‘anti-smacking’ compromise amendment deal was struck with John Key.

I can tell the Prime Minister that a New Zealand Herald poll showed 59 percent of people do not believe that the compromise is good law and a further 7 percent did not know,” Rodney Hide said.

“The majority of New Zealanders remain firmly opposed to this bill yet it is going to be foisted on them by Clark and Key who are both denying their MPs a conscience vote, despite Key having previously attacked Labour’s leader for the very same action. What definition of democracy does this dictatorship of two satisfy?”
